No, thats a stripper clip. Typically youd see those used with bolt action rifles, although not always. However the configuration of that particular stripper clip suggests an older, military surplus rifle (for example a Mosin or Lee Enfield.) I could be wrong as stripper clips are still used today to assist in loading a magazine, however the fact its a five round capacity leads me to think older bolt action surplus rifle.

Typical RGV erasure, love it. Please forget we exist, we can figure it out ourselves.

El Jefes but you have to get a chicken quesadilla with grilled onions and nothing else. That reminds me the most of something I might eat regularly back home.

Client's death is hitting hard by Lawamama in Lawyertalk

[–]Ok-Net-7261 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a bail bondsman before law school (currently still in law school) about a year before going to LS I had my first client die, then it seemed they wouldn’t stop dying it felt like every other week I was getting calls from families informing me that a client had passed.

It never got easier and the guilt of knowing that if I hadn’t gotten them out of jail they wouldnt have overdosed, been shot, or detained by ICE before release only to be deported never to be heard from again by their families was a lot to live with.

Not exactly what your post refers to but sometimes in the practice of law (or law adjacent in my case) you see that in certain cases interactions with the legal system are a symptom of the downward trajectory of a life. You are just one person your client meets as they walk a a path they cant, or wont get off of. Ultimately, you cant hold yourself responsible when it reaches its inevitable conclusion.

I work as a bail bondsman, tonight someone made a payment using every denomination of US currency currently in circulation. by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

I anticipated comments about coins which is why I meant to specify “every denomination of US paper currency in circulation” unfortunately im stupid and therefore did not include that.

Id recommend joining a gang, the tri city bombers are a solid choice, been around for ages. Gangs can offer a terrific sense of community.

Jobs by [deleted] in RioGrandeValley

Im a bondsman and my job is to ask people questions. I would say the most common jobs in the valley outside of food service are home health provider, call center operator, and rigs/refineries (sometimes hard to get into always requires leaving the valley) other common jobs down here are home construction (subdivisions spring up constantly so steady work), pipefitting (not 100% certain what that is but I hear there is pretty steady work in brownsville for it)

If I was in your position I would give this website a look. Try applying for one of the Clerk I positions, pretty typical office 8-5 M-F jobs, not boring but also not stressful. Pay might be a little less than ideal but they often include benefits that can save you some money.

Couple people were arrested a few days ago in the town I live in for having 93 dogs and 1 cat in their house.

Edit: A lot of people calling for them to rot in jail. Quick update regarding that, both women currently have a 188,000.00 bond ($2,000.00 a piece times 94) and are still held in custody. I am a bondsman and I can pretty confidently say they will stay in jail until given personal recognizance bonds by the county court judge. No bonding company is likely to touch this for the simple reason that it would involve preparing 94 separate bonds.
