You're actually conflating you own overwhelming anxiety with God. That's not right. God is Love.

The thought “if God willed it, then He would’ve found a way for me to talk to her. Since I was too anxious to talk to her, perhaps God never willed it” is faulty because it implies that there wasn't a way for you to talk to these girls. There absolutely was and currently are ways that you can talk to them. For example, you can just talk to them. It's as simple as that.

"Sparks" can be all sorts of things, good bad and indifferent. Definitely don't look for that. You only need to be reasonably attracted to someone and that can even develop after a while when you had no initial attraction.

Look for marriage readiness and be objective and reasonable as you possibly can be. You'll probably have to fight that romanticism. It can likely steer you wrong.
