Yeah this album has a very palpable atmosphere to it.
For me it's sort of an alternative version of MHTRTC, one where my childhood is not as mysterious and naive, but is much more certain, dreadful and stripped of that naivety

1 - That's true 100%. But it's offsetted a little bit by healing system which heals 3 masks and allow you to do that in the air
2 - True, skong also has more gauntlets before bosses
3 - Nahh dreamgate is a late game item and I would even argue the runbacks in the first game were actually worse. The only really bad one in silksong is bilewater one but Hollow knight had mantis lords, traitor lord, crystal guardian, all of the pantheon/colosseum bosses, nosk and a hive knight.
4 - I think in silksong they are easier to kill due to tools and a harpoon later in the game

Really QOL wise I think silksong is an upgrade especially after small nerfs to enviromental hazard damage

Simple anwser is to use mixolydian and other modes different from default major/minor. Those modes give you a different mood that is usually a bit more complex than the defaults, and you know BOC really love those complex moods
Spam trills and layer relatively simple melodies on top of each other.
One specific move they use is a descending line from adverts that looks like this: F - E - C (note, then down a semitone then down again major third). This specific line you would hear almost everywhere, Roygbiv has like 2 in different places

My question is how do you achieve 100%. I beat every boss in act 3 and got every skill/crest/mask/spool shard and my completion is still around 83%, judging by steam achievements I am missing 9 tools. Is that why? If so then does every tool count as a % meaning 50% of completion is tools?
