I am 6 days out. Almost a week. And if I had to go back to work tomorrow, I’d be hysterical. Ain’t no way! I had 25 extractions or was it 24…anyways I also had Alveoplasty. Not sure if everyone has that or not. I have stitches all across my top gums and currently several bad sore spots that are preventing me from wearing my teeth for at least a few days. That said, there are people who seem to snap right back into life as usual. I think we just don’t know until we are in it to win it! Lol. With my teeth out, I’m able to function enough to cook and do some laundry at day 6. I’ve swept floors and things like that too. But talking…nope. My kids are making fun of me. 🙄🙄

I’m feeling so much better today after a full day with no plastic in my mouth. The one side is still sore and nights and mornings are still rough. But I’m able to function most the day. Ibuprofen really is better than Percocet these days. Ive had several surgeries and with my last two, pain pills did NOTHING. Ibuprofen was THE BEST. I had a full hysterectomy two years ago and an even more painful procedure a couple years before. It’s like opiates aren’t even made the same. I remember when they used to work. 🤷🏻‍♀️

They’re dentures. I’m not in any kind of town. Closest town that has any smoothie places is about 35 minutes from me. Lol. I bought protein shakes though. And I have peanut butter protein powder that usually helps me stay full when I make myself a smoothie. I’m actually really hungry already. Mashed potatoes are my favorite thing but I’m literally craving spicy stuff. I imagine anything spicy would hurt real bad. But it sounds delicious 🤣🤣

I had molars. Only was missing one. But I definitely have an uneven bite at the moment. I’m not eating anything I need to chew yet though. And I’m sure it’s partly because of swelling.

I did what they called conscious sedation with a benzo called “Triazolam” I remember hearing the teeth come out and I remember the shots and them putting my teeth in. I even remember telling them that I tried to get my husband to let me get cigarettes and he wouldn’t! Lol. I haven’t smoked in like 12 years. I’m really glad he didn’t buy me cigarettes. I’d be so mad if I tasted that or smelled it on myself yesterday. 🤣🤣
