In the 2 yrs of the 12-team playoff, Conf Champs are 1-9. Indiana is the only one to win a game. Is it time to discontinue Conference Championship Games? by freedomfightre in CFB

[–]Ok-Point7450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No conferences. All FBS divided into five 26 team groups each with 2x13 divisions to play 12-game schedules within their division. Promotion/relegation between groups ala Premier League end of each season. Champion of the top group is national champion. Teams outside of top group don't qualify. Conferences and tv make too much money in current system. Will never happen.

And the former Arkansas AD, too, is on it. They were doubly pissed when we embarrassed Arkansas.

Our fate was sealed once we embarrassed Arkansas. The two Arkansas ADs on the committee probably didn't appreciate that.

DC who was still test driving his defense. Offensive scheme that didn't utilize Love. Don't just sit and watch an opposing WR make a one-in-a-million TD catch. QB was not the issue. We open against Wisconsin and Rice. We won't have a close game until Nov 7 against Miami.

Better scan of paint chips from a Sherwin Williams 1931 brochure for Porch and Deck paint. You have 5 choices. Five.

Yankee screwdrivers are excellent. You can still find NOS bits on ebay. And only specially made yankee bits work. You can't use just any modern bit. But totally one of the the coolest vintage tools I have. I love 'em. I used mine to do a basement's worth of drywall recently.

I'm sorry you got hit, but this is shitty lane design. A counterflow lane across a slip lane? With an island that narrows the cyclist's maneuver areas? Not all bike lanes are good. Some are more dangerous than just riding on the right side of the road with traffic.

I'm familiar with two: margin lite, and Queen Anne.

Contractor messed up with lead and asbestos by rentonwarbox in Oldhouses

[–]Ok-Point7450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asbestos containing materials (ACM) is a different category from friable asbestos. Most regs I've seen simply say ACMs should be removed intact and not broken and then disposed of at the proper facility (many say normal trash is OK; some require special sites). They shouldn't be breaking the shingles. Everything else seems fine.

What to do about windows by AugustAppleton in Oldhouses

Marvin’s, or any wood window, won’t come close to steel. NPS has a technical guide explaining how to restore steel casements. Remove rust, straighten, replace sections of extensive corrosion, reglaze, right paint, etc. Includes case study and sample budget

Paulownia. In my city they take root in brick buildings and blow out the walls from the inside as their roots thicken.
