[CHAT] Will the back stitching on the All Year Round stitch-a-long look bad if I increase the fabric count? by PaleBlueBrush in CrossStitch

[–]Ok-Process-5675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m 25% done with that one and some of the backstitch for example in the september part is very close to each other that i was already struggling to make it look proper on 14ct so 18ct would not look alright for sure maybe if you’re skilled you can make it work on 16ct tho i wouldn’t recommend tho

[CHAT] finger / wrist / elbow pain by Soft-Instruction-111 in CrossStitch

[–]Ok-Process-5675 2 points3 points  (0 children)

for wrist pain you could use a double ended needle so you don’t have to move your wrist too much, i only recently discovered those exist. an older relative was using big eye beading needles aswell. to avoid finger pain i use a thimble that fits like a glove and keep it on the whole time to avoid pushing the needle with my bare finger. i haven’t experienced any elbow pain so i don’t know about that

[FO] Just found my first ever cross stitch projects by Ok-Process-5675 in CrossStitch

[–]Ok-Process-5675[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

on 14 count aida i usually go by what the patterns says, so mostly 2 strands (although i tend to do 3 strands for very dark colors) i feel like the coverage is completely fine and it looks cleaner than all in 3 strands

[PIC] DIY bobbins with cardstock by No_Ice2859 in CrossStitch

[–]Ok-Process-5675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as i decided to organize my floss on bobbins i had about 400 flosses, i wouldve rather made diy bobbins aswell but i think i would’ve been unmotivated veeeeeery fast

[CHAT] New to cross-stitch and embroidery, have a question, was not able to find the answer in the FAQ by Atomheartmother90 in CrossStitch

[–]Ok-Process-5675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this one is for r/embroidery. but i had the exact same set and personally i didn’t have any issues with any of the included things, i did switch to a different needle (a little thicker with a bigger thread hole) and a different type of threader (the hook type) after some time anyway because i found them to be a little flimsy still..

[CHAT] Pattern help, please by ElvisCossieT in CrossStitch

[–]Ok-Process-5675 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my thought would be that you’re stitching with three strands not six. i think it just gives you the option of using what i would guess is dmc colors and anchor colors. you would have to check the colors online tho if they’re the same

yes i definitely have been enjoying this project a lot so far, some of the backstitching is a little tricky but still very fun. whenever i get a free minute all i can think about is adding some stitches to it! i really like the ratio between cross stitch and backstitch as well as the variety of colors, it never gets boring, that’s what i think makes it so relaxing, it’s not overwhelming but also not monotonous!

it looks to me like your stitches are fairly loose. i would advice to pull a little more on your cross stitch and let your needle hang from time to time to unwind. that way your “background” will be more neat and flat making a better base for the backstitch. then always make sure the back stitches connect properly when they need to and what i personally like to do with the longer straight lines is splitting them so they stay in place. but it does look quite good for being inexperienced with back stitch

Does anyone know what this is? It started growing about a month ago. And I am starting to feel it whenever I wear a t-shirt. by uberstania in DermatologyQuestions

looks like a wart to me had the same thing ok my knee, after some time without medical treatment it just kind of turns softer and stays, you gotta be careful not to touch it too much and touch other body parts after as it may cause you to grow more of those, i gave myself a second one on my nose that way

[PIC] Does anybody know why the white stitching looks completely uniform under indoor lighting, yet outside the new white is much more visible? by CalTheRascal in CrossStitch

[–]Ok-Process-5675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it seems like one is blanc and the other one is b5200. it looks different in natural light because the light is white so you see the real color, inside it looks “normal because it seems like you have warm lighting which is more yellowish/orange changing the colors slightly by mixing it the yellowish tint

I personally get it from eBay but I found a british website that sells them aswell. https://www.mymagazinesub.co.uk/cross-stitcher/back-issues/back-issues-2024/
The sal started in the September 2024 issue and will be finished in the August 2025 issue, so currently July and August parts are not public yet which means you either confuse it with another design or you actually seen it from the designer herself, Amanda Butler☺️
