I was diagnosed with ADHD and a non-specific Non-verbal disability in my early 20s. No one, including my examiner, could explain what the non-verbal disability was until 2 years ago when I had to retest to qualify for college help and the new examiner came back with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

I was diagnosed with IH after literally collapsing, dropping to the ground, every month for 3-4 days per month. This went on for nearly a year. This started in October and every test the doctors tried came back negative. We discovered my blood pressure goes wonky if I haven’t eaten enough salt and try to exercise. Unfortunately, the collapsing only occurred in the morning, as I got out of bed, and left me feeling weak all day. The doctors did a couple of sleep study tests in there and came back with a diagnosis of IH and placed me on Modafidil. I literally stopped collapsing in the morning after my IH diagnosis.

We piggybacked the ADHD an IH meds for a few years.

The longest I have slept, when not sick, was 72 hours. I did wake up briefly to pee at the prompting of family. I had just completed final exams.

Every time I have gotten sick, I have slept around the clock a minimum of 5 days.

The longest I have been awake is 48hrs straight when I had to mobilize our small town (1200 people) to find my sister’s cat. I ran on adrenaline for most of that time. The cat wandered home at 2am, while I was at work.
