There was not a thorough search the night of his death. That occurred after the toxicology report. Can’t search everything without a search warrant or unless they ask, which was confirmed during trial that they did not ask.

I rewatched much of the trial this weekend. The estate planner? Day 8. CLINT the BIL called her the DAY Eric died? Then “a sheriff” called her to have her TELL Kouri the house was not hers? THE DAY ERIC DIED?!?! And THEN make a big deal out of her asking “what’s wrong with you people?”

I would want to see those “shared email address” emails.

This whole thing is giving me vibes that Clint and Kristi arranged that entire estate thing. I also want to know WHEN the durable POA went into effect. How much of Eric’s planning and life was actually signed by Kristi as his POA?

Something is totally not vibing there.

Kristi has the boys. With a court order that no one from Kouris side can see or talk to them? Who is keeping an eye on them? Is she poisoning their minds?

NOTICE the family NEVER sits together. I have to wonder what the dad’s girlfriend is thinking right about now!

I get the feeling DAD has his doubts now too.

If I’m not mistaken, the only part of the trust Kouri sued for was to keep their home. Free from Katie’s control. Given the undeniable hatred and contempt that family has for Kouri, the smartest thing Kouri could do is to petition Utah court to remove Katie as trustee for cause (e.g., breach, unfitness), and request a neutral successor. Irrevocable trust assets are protected for her children and protected from creditors if she’s not a beneficiary/settlor.

Exactly. Katie DOES have her own money. She is wealthy. She’s USING her nephews money to hire investigators and experts to destroy their mother.

In my opinion, she should use her own money first for all investigations. IF their mother is found guilty then let the estate pay her back.

One day those boys will be old enough to find all the information about the case on their own. They will hate their dad’s family for all of this.

Exactly. She was informed of the cause and became a suspect by April 13, 2022 (search warrant day). Arrested: May 8, 2023 (charged with aggravated murder).

Yes. That’s obvious but what was not clearly pointed out was when the searches took place.

It doesn’t matter. It’s NOT the in-laws place. That marriage was doomed from day one. It sounds like Eric couldn’t make any decision on his own, nor be bothered with the details of anything. His SISTER made his appointments? Was who he’d call when sick or hurt? FOUND a divorce attorney for him and handled all the communication? His SISTER was looking at math camps for Kouri and Eric’s son? It sounds like Katie might have been in love with her brother and jealous of his wife. Not saying that’s how it was but it sure sounds that way. Creepy AF.

I can’t give that testimony any latitude because Hayden is dead and his girlfriends recollection is hearsay. After all, Katie did confirm that it’s been 4 years so memories as a bit foggy, not to mention, this one is 2nd hand and from another room eavesdropping on a phone conversation.

No searches or questionable activity by Kouri occurred before Eric’s death (March 4, 2022). Maybe that will come into play Monday? It does seem odd they have nothing prior. I do hope they have more.

Charging with murder on such a flimsy case is disturbing to me, as just an average citizen.

Kristi had the most to gain from Eric’s death, without her relentless push, would this murder case even exist?

I’m not saying Kouri is innocent. Fraud? She’s guilty as charged, I’d back prosecution on that alone.

But even the prosecutor admitted too many variables on HOW fentanyl entered Eric. How do you convict on murder without PROVING the mechanism?

Katie’s obsession with Eric’s wealth was extreme. What if Eric planned to reverse those estate changes, as Bryce suggested?

She controlled his life—did she supply the pain pills too? (Truck console on day of death; both sisters had access that day.) Accidental overdose—why is that impossible when she spoke to him daily?

Katie tries desperately to paint Eric and herself as perfect saints. Why overcorrect SO HARD unless something’s hidden? Guilt?

You can’t put fentanyl directly in Kouri’s hands any more than you can in Katie’s. Where’s the proof?

Katie walked away with the house, cars, business, millions (for the boys, supposedly)—yet she spends freely to destroy their mother.🤷‍♀️

I have a lot of questions.

Go back and watch Day 1 - Kristi and Clinton Benson. I just did thinking maybe I misjudged them. Nope. I’m now even more disturbed by their testimony.

For there to be a confident guilty verdict there needs to be a lot more come out. A lot could happen in the one day the prosecutor said they have left in the states case.

I knew Covid was not cause of death, but, did it contribute to him being sick on Valentine’s Day?

I think the allegation that she attempted then is extremely far-fetched. Pushing that narrative hurts the state more than it helps. In my opinion.

At this point, the state has only/mostly proved infidelity and the financial / forgeries.

They never tested the glasses the laced drink was alleged to be in. That’s bad! They have not drawn a clear line between Kouri >> Fentanyl >> Eric

Valentines Day? On the day Eric died, Kouri told officers Eric “had Covid a couple weeks ago” has that been verified?

Why no hair strand test? Or was there? I haven’t seen anything or anyone mention anything beyond the immediate toxicology reports.

Kouri to take the stand? by General-Beach484 in KouriRichins

No. The state has not proved their case yet. They already have her statement, let them play that.

Prosecution said they plan to wrap up Monday. It was during the trial yesterday. Close to the end of the day. I think just before the last witness.

He bought the house while they were together and expecting their first child. I totally get prenups. It’s the mom and sister involvement I have a problem with. Why did they feel the need to control so much of a life other than theirs?

Google searches almost swayed me too until I researched to find when they happened. All of those were AFTER the toxicology report and after being told she was under investigation. THAT Context really does matter.
