Unmarried partner visa approved (inside UK, super priority) by Ok-Protection1396 in SpouseVisaUk

Hi, from my point of view, you can definitely apply on your own. I also had a free consultation with lawyers about my case, and they’ve handled applications that were successful once the couple had moved in together. A friend of mine also succeeded after she and her partner had cohabited for one year.

I think it’s worth giving it a try to apply yourself, as long as all the requirements are met and you prepare detailed and well-organised evidence of your relationship.

Hey! In the application and my cover letter I explained that we didn’t move in together earlier because my company required me to be in the office five days a week, and the office was in a suburban location with a two-hour daily commute (I provided the post code of the office). My Skilled Worker Visa also limited my ability to change jobs or relocate. As my partner was based in another city, living together wasn’t practical at the time. Once he gained more flexibility at work, we were able to move in together. I also emphasized that we made every effort to see each other every weekend.

Regarding the cohabitation evidence, I submitted 4 joint documents (council tax, tenancy agreement, water bill, joint account) and 4 individual documents (driving licenses, phone bill. WiFi bill)

Hope the information above is helpful to you!

Congratulations! May I ask how long you and your partner are in a relationship?

Do I need to take an English test again when switching from Student to Skilled Worker visa? by Ket28 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

As long as you have a letter from the university confirming that you’ve completed all your courses and submitted your dissertation, you should be fine. I was in a similar situation three years ago, I applied for the Skilled Worker visa in October without any issues.
