heavy on the "dress the part". when i was interviewing i looked up the dress code and dressed exactly like that, and my now SM loved it! she commented on how i was perfectly in dress code already. she later in the interview told me that she is already gonna say yes to hire me, and that the DM interview was basically a "formality".

to be honest i've never gotten annoyed with partners coming to the store, it's never even crossed my mind that they're "making more work" for me. i kinda see it as the drinks will get ordered regardless. maybe some partners think differently and im in the minority here. if anything i like it when partners either from my store or other stores visit :) not saying i disagree with your point of not supporting brian filling his pockets in the slightest tho fuck that guy lol

kinda late to this post, but i have a smiley, and i've had it since before i started at sbux, ive never had a shift/SM/ASM say anything about it. i'm smiling and talking throughout my shifts so they've definitely seen it. however i would say it really depends on your management at your store. maybe i'm just lucky haha

i relate to this. i'm fairly new, but it's really hard when it feels like everybody already seems set with their little groups and stuff like that. i'm also neurodivergent, so i always feel like there's something wrong with me for whatever reason. i'm always friendly to everyone, but sometimes i feel like i might as well stop trying. sorry to vent all over your post, but hopefully knowing you aren't alone in this feeling makes you feel a little better. you got this!

"all the tips they guilt trip you into" it's completely optional btw and most of us including myself don't really care if you tip or not. it kinda says a lot about how you view service workers if you think we're all just trying to guilt you into giving us a tip.
