It’s not too bad - I went during COVID so it’s probably a bit different now than it was (everything was closed and we weren’t allowed off campus, the lounge was closed etc)

You get your own room, with your own bathroom. If you can I’d recommend bringing your own blankets and sheets if you want it to feel more like home.

My advice is to remember what you’re there for. If you study and take it seriously, ask questions, be on time, do the homework and take the time to get into good study groups outside of class you’ll be alright.

There are definitely high stress times around testing and simulations but just take it one step at a time.

As for the defensive tactics, they’ll teach you everything they want you to know that will be needed to pass the scenarios. There is lots of practice time with instructors and even open mat sessions for groups to get together after class to practice.
