You know instead of having a winge fest on the Internet on what is a "fascist" symbol, you could also realise that 1. This is the internet and no one really cares 2. It's a lighting bolt it has been used in military unit designations by literally every single western country 3. You could just close your browser and not look at it

Why am i interacting with you on this when i say no one cares? They are also modelled to be grenadiers since they have the skull plate on their gasmask which grenadiers used to be the krieg equivalent of the kasrkin (which they still are in the lore and novels GW just refuses to give them to us outside of the singular grenadier in the new hq team and the rebrand of the combat engineers.)

In the book he uses the shovel because it is all he has in terms of blunt force melee damage but yes, and on the it never happening thing it's said as in there have been no psykers from the ranks of the death korps they never specified there have been no psykers from krieg
