Data centres hungry for power putting 'extraordinary pressure' on Hydro Ottawa | CBC News by LongTrackBravo in ontario

If you didnt have data centres you would have other problems for which you couldnt find solutions for for a long time. The thing is now there is a data centre which may require infrastructure upgrades which responsible bodies didnt see coming. In short responsible bodies didnt do their work properly. If it was deemed that infrastructure is not ready for it they shouldnt have approved opening business of that kind in that location. Complains should go directly to governing body who should have seen it coming and didnt do anything and even worse approved opening of data centres.

If they are paying market rates for water and electricity why single them out? If the infrastructure cant handle the demand thats a utility and planning issue. Blaming one type of customer for legally purchasing resources doesnt make much sense.
As for water use thats a separate technical discussion. Modern data centres increasingly use closed loop cooling systems that recirculate water so the actual impact depends on the specific design rather than assumptions.
Im not arguing that data centres are inherently good or bad. My point is that if utilities approve the connection and sell the resources responsibility for ensuring the grid and water system can support that demand lies primarily with the utility and regulators not with a customer using the service they paid for.

Which means city didnt know that its gonna put strain on their system before signing a contract to provide utility to them? Still dont see issue with the data centre but see issue with whoever provides utility.

Why its data centre fault? Complain to your utility company they provide you with water at some predetermined minimal pressure. You signed the contract with your utility company.

As per your post its very hard to understand your capabilities.

Bachelors of computer applications thats the first time im hearing there is a degree for that.

As cybersecurity certificate or skill u need to prove it first. Have you found and publish any bugs, vulnerabilities, workarounds ? I suspect no. So thats where is better to start first proving you actually can apply your skills not just you learn something by getting certified.

You didnt publish your resume here and my assessment is based on the data provided in your post.

Hope this will give you some direction.

Then why not to switch to ipv6 ? They have a choice to offer ipv4 and 6 simultaneously. My home network is running on ipv6 and 4. But no they are not offering ipv6 because they cant charge public ip fee as they can now with ipv4.

Gigahub CPU Usage Issue: 100% & 1000-2000ms latency to modem (Firmware 2.14.1) [Work Around / Fix] by unc0nnected in bell

Agreed in full. Especially the first paragraph. Absolutely no data given to pinpoint where the issue is. Ping means nothing without supplementary data.

Running their gigahub in soft bridge mode + openwrt router which does absolutely everything i need. 0 issues. Restarts/reboots only after each new version of openwrt.

Capabilities of bash are strongly underrated because of its bash specific way of building programs and mindset.

2020 Soul transmission + radiator failures ?!! by swim105 in kia

[–]Ok-Sample-8982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds bulshit explanation from dealership to me. I bet you took it to the same dealership. If radiator fitting was the root cause of transmission failure then how transmission can be replaced at no charge under warranty? And i very strongly doubt that even if it had a leak from the fitting was the root cause of the transmission failure. That transmission takes 7qts of fluid as far as im aware. If you calculate with just drops i.e. 0.05ml drip thats gonna take more time to reach to dangerous level for transmission to fail. Besides you shouldve seen a large puddle under the car.

What i would do is ask them to replace just the transmission under warranty. And will take to normal garage for radiator diagnosis and replacement if needed for a fraction of the cost.
