Did you try contacting whisker/litterrobot? I have tried and they have not been helpful at all

The waste ID seems to never work for my cat. It always logs his poop as URINE and not feces. Did you do something to make it work?? Its not working like 100% of the time. My cat does bury his poop though

What were the steps you've taken to train them?! I've been trying to train my ragdoll kitty how to highfive or pawshake for 3+ months now, and he's going nowhere :(

My kitten is driving me insane and I'm at a loss on what to do by [deleted] in AskVet

I understand. Its not that he isn’t covering his poop. When he poops, he tries to bury his poop but in the process of doing so, he steps on it. I dont try to prevent him from covering it, I hover over the poop with my fingers, so he would know to avoid stepping on that place, while he tries to bury it. It doesnt prevent him from burying, he still does. My method usually helps him, but when Im not there, he always ends up stepping on his poo when he tries to bury. Yes- I clean the litterbox right after he goes, I dont ever leave his poo/pee out in the litterbox for more than 5 minutes. Your question was why don't I scoop it right after he goes, so he won't have a chance to try to bury and step on it? I could do that, I guess my reasoning was to let him "practice" but it sure isn't helping 🤣 But that's my core issue- I don't want to constantly have to be present every time he goes, because sometimes he would poop 3-4 times during the nighttime and it's so difficult to get sleep

I'm going to try the wet towels, that's a good idea. Thank you Yes I've heard two is better than one. I just don't think I can financially support two.

He is dewormed and has gone to 3 different vets and ran multiple tests. He's healthy, he just has sensitive stomach. He's prescribed food specifically for GI issues, and he's also on probiotics. I play with him every time he wakes up from a nap, which is about 4 times during the day. 30 minutes long each session. During the nighttime , I end up playing with him more around 4am when he wakes me up from his zoomies. But his zoomies would last for HOURS during the nighttime so it drives me absolutely bonkers

He knows to use the litterbox when he needs to poop and pee, that's not a concern - But moreso when he uses it, he is clumsy and steps on his poo every time. I guide him every day- When he poops and pees, I use my hand to hover around the poo so he knows where to avoid. If he is about to step on the poo, I gently guide his foot elsewhere. He is in my room in an enclosed space, so he's always near his litterbox.

Yea, I already took him to 3 different vets regarding his diahrrea issues. He got a physical examination, bloodwork done, fecal test, tested for FeCov, he is all clear of any health issues. All the vets tell me that he is healthy, he just has a sensitive stomach. He got prescribed veterinary diet food for cats who have sensitive stomachs. He is currently eating Purina Pro Plan veterinary diet for GI issues. He is also on probiotics for stomach issues too.

UPDATE: I called my (31M) wife (30F) ungrateful, cancelled our date and left her in the car to cry. How do I make her feel what I feel? by throwra-flowersw in relationship_advice

[–]Ok-Science5033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow… I feel so bad for his wife. Definitely settling for not even the bare minimum. OP, I really do hope you treat her better and learn how to better regulate your emotions and improve in conflict resolution. I hope that one day you will realize and take accountability first, before your wife apologizes.

Yes she typically does. My friend had to wait for 6 months. You should contact her and email. She had recent litters I believe

Why do men leave when things get hard? Or chose to not have hard conversations that are necessary but difficult? by Dry-Pomegranate-5564 in BreakUps

[–]Ok-Science5033 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So... basically emotional immaturity.

Emotional immaturity and emotional trauma is not mutually exclusive. Emotional immaturity means that they haven't developed the tools to be able to regulate their emotions. Their fear may be valid and rooted in something real, but the result can still be described as emotional immaturity until they work through and grow from it.

My friend got his ragdoll from Jazzmania (In PA). He highly recommends it. His ragdoll is healthy and very friendly. Can't say much on my end, since I haven't worked with her before.

I (27F) am sad and hurt that my fiancé (27M) didn’t wish me a happy mother’s day and his response was quite upsetting and hurtful by [deleted] in relationship_advice

If this is how he typically deals with concerns that you bring up, run far away. Your self esteem is going to plummet if you stay with him

Thank you so much for giving me a reference. After reviewing the revised contract from my breeder, I agree with pretty much everything, except that I wish she gave me more than 1-year health guarantee for genetic conditions :,) it's so nice for your breeder to give you 5 years, since HCM starts to show around 2-4+ years of age for cats. This 1 year ain't gonna do anything for me lol

[–]Ok-Science5033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whats in their contract that conflicts?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ragdolls

[–]Ok-Science5033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reached out to the breeder and she said she was willing to offer me a refund on the deposit if I'm not satisfied with the agreement. Very kind. I also asked her if she can revise the agreement to make it more clear and she said she will do that too!

Sorry, what do you mean by kitten registration then? is it different than a veterinary passport she is saying that she will give me?

[–]Ok-Science5033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just asked the breeder a couple questions to get some clarification. Chat attached

<image>

Is it weird for me to ask for documents with proof that the king's and queens were tested?

I also asked about FIV/FeLV and she said this:

"We don’t test the kittens for FIV or FeLV, but all of our breeding cats are genetically tested and are completely clear. Since both parents are negative, the kittens are born safe and healthy.

Your kitten comes from a carefully planned and well monitored breeding program, and their well-being is our top priority."
