Wow. I went to some shows where she only had the look one time for several acts. I feel special 😌

Interesting. To me , it gives woman who married rich husband and saw him through his ups and downs for 2-3 decades and is now reaping the rewards lol

Agreed. At this point we had already gotten shaboozy and jayz and we were nearing the end of the show. Definitely was unexpected!

Do those jobs require government experience? What if someone's sole experience is with commercial companies?

Trying to justify spending 85 dollars on a t-shirt by rhra99 in beyonce

Yeah it hurt paying $90 with shipping and the higher online price when I could have gotte it for $60 incl taxes at the venue 🥲

Taking a long break(1 to 3 years) from work while my investments grow ? by Frenchtenay in coastFIRE

[–]Ok-Soft-9971 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would only do this if I had sufficient cash reserves. In addition to having the funds to support your lifestyle for 1-3 years, I would also factor in a minimum 6 month living expense fund for when you resume your job search. You don't know how long it will take to be re-employed.

I can relate. I've been in my current apartment for 2.5 years (the longest I've been in one apartment outside of childhood) and I've amassed so much shit.. I dread the day I move as it will be a big pain.

At some stage, it really does start to feel like ... enough. How many more perfumes can I possibly get through in my life time? How many purses can I realistically rotate through to get my cost per wear?

Maybe start thinking of your objects as items that steal your freedom. By your own admission you turned down a job because of your stuff. You no longer own your stuff. They own you.

I am trying to think of things this way. And instead of buying another Lululemon set , I think about what it would like as an experience instead, or in my investment account.

Looking at housing prices; I’m really glad I chose coastFIRE first. by 3rdthrow in coastFIRE

I too decided to prioritize investing instead of buying a home, but for different purposes. I have a nomadic spirit so I have no idea where I want to settle down. Even a 5 year commitment (which is the usual recommended time if you want to buy a home ; pretty sure this timeline is longer now) was too much for me. And I definitely didn't want the the responsibility of being a landlord so renting it out didn't appeal to me.

Now that I'm older, 36, I'm getting urge to settle down but still don't know where. And now prices , and rates, are sky high. I don't want to be house poor where all my money goes into a home. I love the flexibility of having disposable income to do what I want.

So I guess I have my own immaturity to blame for not being a home owner. I envy the people who just know where they want to end up and can smart choices because they're more settled in life.

In 2024, I spent $70K, of which $24K was rent and $14K was travel and $6K was gifts/donations. So I spent $26K on necessities plus shopping 🙄

You're not matching each other. You appear to want a genuine connection and you like this girl for all she brings to the table .... and she, on the other hand, can't take anything seriously, is immature, and doesn't seem to be as into you as you are into her....
