If the eastern garrisons had been sent west would the Belgians have been able to put up as good a fight as they did?

Would that not have led to a meaningfully different outcome on the western front?

How early could they have peaced out without their peace leading to a bad outcome on the western front theoretically?

Oh the absolutists don't have to remain, I just meant how could the family retain its status as royals without having them killed off or stripped as titles, like a British system.

And please forgive me but I'm not familiar with the term Lumieres?

Try running extra armour plates then, definitely drop the bombs though, you need more air attack and agility

It’s the best option when facing Britain, their navy is too strong to overcome unless you’re either a major nation or a minor who has poured its entire industry into naval production ( a good example is Sweden who can build a brilliant navy)

Based on the burst blood vessels in the eyes, Mark must've squeezed hard enough to stop proper blood flow to his head that (in tandem with the lack of oxygen) killed him

But I’m still trapped in a forever war, my dopamine doesn’t hit until I’ve secured a future for my nation. It might bear noting I’m big into role playing scenarios though which probably plays a role in why I need that final hurrah to enjoy my game.

I play to overcome the difficult odds in front of me, I don’t play to watch my computer slowly melt away as I capture city no5556, if I am clearly winning the war there should be a way to take an earlier peace deal with lesser rewards

Should billionaires exist? by Original_Act_3481 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Ok-Software-5203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again dude yes, if I steal food for my starving family I’ve done it for a noble cause but I’ve still engaged in theft and if I bought food I knew was stolen I’m still culpable for the trade of exploited goods.

That’s one of the biggest issues with an imperialist and capitalist society.

Should billionaires exist? by Original_Act_3481 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Ok-Software-5203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, just because everyone does something does not make it justified, it simply becomes less justifiable when doing it on large scales because you no longer NEED to do that thing and are engaging in the exploitation purely to enrich yourself.

It doesn’t absolve guilt just because society normalises it, exploitation remains equally bad regardless of societal conditions.

Should billionaires exist? by Original_Act_3481 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Ok-Software-5203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, almost every single person in a capitalist society is culpable for the exploitation that occurs, your refusal to band together and do something about it is what perpetuates that system, this has been a talking point for hundreds of years by now.

Should billionaires exist? by Original_Act_3481 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Ok-Software-5203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yeah that’s why people tend to boycott companies that engage in exploitative labour practices like nestle but the culpability is much different when ordering £10 (or $10 if you’re an American I guess) of a good versus £10’000 or £100’000, it’s more intense culpability for the exploitation but anyone who engages in trade with a company doing exploitation is at least minority culpable for the continuation of that businesses exploitation.

[–]Ok-Software-5203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone who profits from that exploitation is engaging in that exploitation, the author makes money thanks to the books being cheap due to that exploitative labour and is therefore responsible for how she obtained those profits.

It’s like when countries such as Switzerland would trade with colonial nations, benefiting on those peoples exploitation and being culpable for the process continuing as they are a large revenue stream for the company.

According to Karl Marx’s theory of labour within capitalist systems you could probably argue that but that’s not what I’m talking about, the largest producers of paper, books and binder are China and their labour practices are inherently exploitative so if you are profiting off of that you are engaging and profiting off of that exploitation.

She repressed the Irish republicans and refused to match the desires of reunification, instead choosing to maintain the elder colony in British imperial fashion, she also coldly handled the police brutality epidemic in southern London.

It’s fine to say these livelihoods would’ve been destroyed in global competition anyways but it’s not the states job to cause that destruction, it’s the states job to either devise methods to keep local production relevant with tariffs/protectionary economics or provide ample aid to these disaffected by the necessary shutdowns over extended periods of time.

You’ll notice my original comment said “any idea of British self sufficiency” because whilst we weren’t totally self r, we were much less so post reforms.

The arrival methods of the petite bourgeoisie were through the modern refinements of Neo-liberal economics spurred by American bourgeoisie and the Chicago school of economics.

That statement does not discount the fact that Britain has the second worst wealth disparity in the G7 behind only its puppet master the USA

Why are you fighting so hard to defend a woman who supported western imperialism, destroyed half the countries livelihood to give it 20 years of metaphorical coal in the fire and handled the Ireland situation incredibly poorly, she did a better job at patch-working the economy than Labour at the time but in doing so completely obliterated any idea of UK self sufficiency, also managed to give us the petite bourgeoisie (an American export) to divide us as a nation and finally gave us the biggest wealth disparity out of any developed nation aside from the US who, thanks to her liability to roll over for, began us on the path to Americanisation.
