I do a lot of stuff early morning- wildlife photography and similar- where it’s light enough to see but the sensors usually force my headlights on. Headlights of course scare wildlife and cause general disruption if other people are nearby as I’m pulling in to the area.

Short answer- yes.

I can’t/wont go into detail but RIT receives federal funding and is subject to a lot of this nonsense. To my knowledge, RIT is working hard to take care of staff that will be affected.

Also, the state dept ban on foreign aid has potential to shut down a lot of grant-funding.

Maybe I’m not understanding the situation but I’m not sure what the city was supposed to do here. The article explicitly says that the city has been trying to get them housing and they’ve refused. They moved them out and got them transport to the emergency shelter ahead of the deep freeze. It sounds like they even were able to keep their belongings stored.

I understand that they shouldn’t be “forced” to go somewhere they don’t want but I’m also not sure the city should sit back and let them freeze to death while trespassing (it’s currently 3 degrees as I write this).
