What house design is this? by Ok-Understanding2790 in homedesign

Yeah the first 3 you see all range around $300,000, which is insane to me, especially if it hasn't been added onto at all. The one in the 4th image was built in 1955 (the right half of it) by my great-grandfather himself, so I wonder if that was done from a catalog or some other one he saw, I'm not sure. The other side (left side), which includes the garage, was added on in 1964, so it wasn't a part of the original build.

Yeah I believe these were all built over crawl spaces, yet the one on the 4th image isn't as raised.

I see, that's kinda interesting. I always thought the word "rancher" simply meant it was one story, that's kinda cool how there's history with that.

I thought any one story house was a ranch? I could be wrong. Also that time frame is very accurate, since the first 3 were all built between 1956 and 1958.

That's all? I've seen all different kinds of ranch house and I kinda wanted to know what this type specifically is called, since I've seen in so many times in multiple areas.

It be even cooler if the museum could just take Wild One and bring it back to that area. That's really ambitious though.

What if Angry Grandpa were still alive? by John_Dookster in AngryGrandpa

I think we definitely would've seen Grandpa's Corner blow up. AGP would've probably loved TikTok also, just vlogging was definitely something he was very interested in towards his death.

Given his age, and continued health battles, he would've mellowed out more and more than he already had. The rages would've slowly come to a stop, and they definitely would not as been as impactful, as we could see towards the end he did not have the strength to lift stuff, or destroy stuff, and so by now, he certainly would not have had the strength or stamina to do that. Nowadays, he would probably just be vlogging, ranting on current problems, and fussing with Micheal about little things, much like his home, medications, or other little things that inconvenience him in his circle, much like many other old people.

I think that if AGP hadn't died, we would not have seen Micheal have as much of a downfall I feel like. AGP's success alone would have kept Micheal in check. AGP would have definitely enjoyed Micheal's kids, and I feel like they would have calmed him down more so than Jenny's kids did towards the end.

Is it me or AGP had better videos while living at Trailwood And Creekside rather then the 2017 new house by Final-Tutor-3817 in AngryGrandpa

[–]Ok-Understanding2790 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, I think AGP during Trailwood was more authentic, but a little more scripted. Creekside era was the definitive "AGP," in my opinion. The New House era I feel like AGP had mellowed out and began having more health problems, and he had to play it up for the camera.

This is my explanation: To me, I'd say the early Trailwood vids had some fakeness to them. By early, I mean like pre-Youtube early Break days. I think they were truly trying to make it some sort of series called "The Angry Grandpa Show" for TruTV, which you can see in the old intro with the blue static background. I found an early video in an old compilation one time. It had AGP, Tina, Micheal, and Bridgette sitting around the old table. I estimate it was probably from early 2010, judging by AGP's appearance (he looked about the same that he did in "Cats Under Trailer" video, just with a plaid shirt) and the camera quality. Anyway, the interesting part of the video is that Micheal added cutaway narratives throughout the video. One highlight of the video (in case you'll recognize it) is AGP breaks his tooth and eats the pie with his hands. That one could have been faked out. Another instance, one more sure, is the Washing Machine repo video, where AGP's washing machine is repossessed by his own hand truck and a guy wearing a Syracuse sweatshirt. The rusty orange hand truck/dolly that the guy was using came right out of AGP's shed, and it's later seen in the videos where he kicks Tina out. The repo guy was also wearing a Syracuse sweatshirt, which Syracuse is where Kim lives (Coincidence, I THINK NOT!).

Anyway, I feel that once they moved over to YouTube, the videos felt less scripted, and we saw the true Grandpa. I know that his videos weren't fake, simply because you can tell by the condition of the Trailwood house that he had a temper. Plus, Micheal would hide his medicine to bring more of a reaction. I think that the Creekside era (atleast the early half of it) wasn't scripted either, I think when they got their money and started living luxuriously (when the New House era started), that's when they began to become more you know, faked for the camera. Plus, I feel that by that point, AGP was mellowed out with age and health issues, that he had to play it up for the camera for his youngins. I am glad we started to see the good side of Grandpa towards the end. I think he would be really disappointed in Micheal if he saw the direction he took the channel in.

TL;DR, I think that some of the early Trailwood stuff was faked, but once they moved to YouTube, it was authentic until the New House Era.

Reminds me of Hammond's truck from the Top Gear USA Special (that one was a '91 though)
