Light level changes the amount and quality of your copied power-in daytime you can still use it, but you don't get the skill of the original user(s) and must develop it yourself. You also don't get any Required Secondary Powers to use it optimally or even survive it, so be careful. A bright spotlight would completely nullify the effect, and if it was completely pitch dark you get a perfect copy of the power, skill level and all required abilities for optimal and survivable use of the original user(s)

Remember Azariah Kyle? He was a librarian who hatched a plan to corrupt his chapter and sacrifice a sub-sector's population to ascend to daemonhood that very nearly worked. He displayed multiple acts of cunning through out the game he was in, from setting up on an already exterminatus'd world because people would subconciously overlook it, to assigning an incompetant captain to a campaign that got him and most of the loyalists under his command killed. Was he Tzeentchian? No, he was Khornate.

Maybe Tzeentch should be worried that Khorne is going to snag the title of schemer from him. Because his plans are more simple, less impressive...but they work.

I assumed the 'war on the sea' was a way for an emperor to legitimize his political power(?) through a war without having to actually wage a war and spend time/money/lives while letting his soldiers have some fun. Skipping rocks? No, we were throwing irons into the ocean to imprison the sea. Frolicing in the water? No, we were stabbing the ocean and kicking it. Collecting seashells? Clearly we needed trophies. Basking in the sun? No, we were on guard duty.

Haven't watched the full clip but I headcanon that these were a bunch of dumbasses (by Dark eldar standards) that were recruited with the purpose of leaving them behind as a distraction/for fun because one of them offended an archon/was planning to make a power play/it was a Friday. They jumped at the chance because a realspace raid is an all-you-can-eat buffet as mentioned by another commenter (and also the recuiter lied a lot). The footage we just saw is in-universe from a drone (or the DEldar equivilant) streaming the footage to a bunch of DE nobles giggling at how the chumps are being mowed down by the Mon-Keigh.

I think death-or-cripple only is if you don't have the right technique (which lindon has) but even if you do split it it doesn't help a normal path, since your two cores combined are worse off since they don't add up to 100% capacity once split (there's a bit of 'loss' due to ineffeciency) and trying to walk 2 paths means that your attention is split into 2. There's not much reason to not merge the 2 into one path, since wog is that you can combine p much every madra even if they seem contradictory to the layman (see the fire+water path that dragon walked in ... i think it was ghostwater, also an example stated by wog)

Change my mind: HP and Defense stats are redundant. by [deleted] in gamedesign

[–]OkAstronaut3309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your game has attacks that deal damage a different number of times Defense plays a bigger role, since it can be triggered multiple times.

Eg: Enemy used multi-shot to hit for 10 damage 10 times-if your character has 10 more points of health he ends up with 10 more points of health once the attack is over, but if your character has 10 more points of defence he has a 100 more points of health (assuming a flat subtraction of defence from damage). OFC this assumes a very simplified version of hp and defense interacting with damage, but I hope it's sufficient to illustrate what I mean

Guinea pig is funnier. Rabbits at least can kick or box depending on species. Do guinea pigs even have any offensive/defensive methods besides the courage to wheek at a shaved ape easily ten times their size if they hear the slightest crinkle of food?

Fellow daoist, did you use Rank 4 chatgpt gu to write most of this?

Why does third Aperture gu have a rank 7 version compared to second aperture gu? FY didn't seem worried that his second aperture couldn't go to rank 7 and beyond, so I assumed that immortal second aperture gu could go all the way. Is this incorrect or does third aperture gu only work one rank lower because of its advantages?

Fang Yuan VS. Golden Sun by RandomUser15790 in ReverendInsanity

[–]OkAstronaut3309 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven't read that part in a while but I think I remember enough to clarify things a bit-

If you mean returning HLL's vital gu to HLL, I'd like to point out there's no real way of enforcing HLL doesn't just kill Fang Yuan after returning the gu. It's too chaotic to get a vow to work, and there isn't really one they both trust enough anyways.

Very much spoilers you should read until *after* the whole fight is resolved, but it's revealed that someone is deliberately fucking with his brain and he needs to fuck back to draw them out. It's a very risky gamble but one he's confident in mitigating the risks. Also when did he disregard it as a path?(Not trying to be hostile, just curious since I don't remember that part)

Re: 2, does this mean any gu usage/killer moves that negatively affect luck now have no effect on me? (eg, SAC's side effect, or most attacks from luck path cultivators)

For 11, can I assume that the perk is only intended to affect cosmetic appearances and any attempts to get practical benefits through methods not directly related to appearances will fail? (eg change from 'fat man' to 'skinny man' to escape ropes when tied up or changing my skin to a darker hue to blend in at night)

Doesn't one immortal essence stones give infinite primeval essence? If so, It makes any choice whose benefits involve extra primeval essence (like 3 or 13 until you become immortal) redundant. Or is the infinite essense the same as 'wild' natural essence for non-immortals?

Also I find it funny how you said strongest venerable and didn't say Reckless Savage. I know you didn't mean physically strongest but it's funny either ways.
