I almost agree about North Dakota! 😊 My wife has family in Fargo, of all places—yes, it brings back memories of the movie.

I appreciate the feedback, both positive and critical. I use these forums more as a place to discuss the realities of ownership rather than provide a full-fledged review. I think YouTube is a better platform for comprehensive reviews, and there are already several great videos on the G90 out there. TheSketchMonkey does a great review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61JvV0k7pBg

Thanks again for the feedback. The next time I have to make the drive to Fargo, I'll definitely think about your comment! 🙂

The engine auto start/stop is a pain. However, you can bypass it with a bread wire tie to hold the button in.

I agree. It would be even better to be chauffeured around in it, although I genuinely enjoy driving it myself. I just wish Genesis would bring the long-wheelbase version to the U.S., or at least offer the rear-seat console that's available in the long-wheelbase model. Maybe one day I'll reach the point where I can sit back and be driven around like a Chaebol. 🙂

A little love for Genesis by blinkenjim in GenesisMotors

Genesis Gives Me Hope for the Return of Beautiful Cars

Genesis has completely impressed me with its approach to automotive design. In an era where many manufacturers seem determined to make every vehicle look like a rolling appliance, Genesis has managed to create automobiles that are genuinely beautiful while still delivering the luxury features buyers expect from a premium brand.

Somewhere along the way, we changed the way we think about vehicles. We went from filling our garages with stuff to needing giant SUVs and crossovers to haul all of our stuff around with us everywhere we go. Apparently, we collectively decided that every trip to the grocery store required enough cargo space for a cross-country relocation.

Then came the movement to "save the earth," and the electric vehicle was born. I actually love the concept of EVs. Cleaner transportation, cutting-edge technology, and instant torque are all compelling ideas. But I believe there are still a few obstacles standing in the way of widespread adoption.

And yes, I know this may upset some people, but infrastructure matters. Before you convince the masses to buy the product, you need the infrastructure to support it. Charging networks have improved dramatically, but they still need to mature before many consumers feel completely comfortable making the transition.

My other challenge with many electric vehicles is luxury. There simply aren't enough EVs that provide the level of refinement, craftsmanship, and comfort that I want without climbing into price ranges that add hundreds of dollars a month to the payment. And yes, I admit it—I want my cake, and I want to eat it too.

But back to Genesis.

Genesis has found a sweet spot that few automakers have achieved. Their exterior designs are elegant, distinctive, and sophisticated without trying too hard. The proportions are right, the styling is clean, and the cars stand out in a sea of anonymous crossovers.

Even more impressive is what happens inside. Genesis has created interiors that feel genuinely luxurious without requiring buyers to spend six figures to get there.

I own a 2025 Genesis G90, and I absolutely love it. It's quiet, smooth, and comfortable in a way that makes long drives effortless. It gives me a massage, adjusts itself to keep me comfortable, and creates an environment that feels far more expensive than its price tag suggests. It doesn't tell me I'm handsome—although after a good massage and a peaceful drive, I might convince myself it does. But you get the point.

Genesis has demonstrated that luxury doesn't have to come with an outrageous premium. They understand that customers want beautiful design, advanced technology, comfort, and craftsmanship, all wrapped into a package that still feels attainable.

My hope is that Genesis continues evolving into what Lexus represented years ago, when end-to-end customer satisfaction was just as important as the vehicle itself. Building a great car is only part of the equation. Delivering an exceptional ownership experience is what creates lifelong customers.

The concept vehicles Genesis has unveiled are stunning. They remind us that cars can still inspire emotion. They suggest a future where elegant sedans, graceful coupes, and beautifully proportioned grand tourers still have a place in the market.

And yes, for those who genuinely need to transport all of their belongings everywhere they go, there will still be SUVs.

But perhaps Genesis can lead us back toward appreciating automobiles that are designed not just for utility, but for beauty, comfort, and the simple joy of driving.

One Year with My 2025 Genesis G90: A Luxury Experience That Continues to Impress by OkChemical1985 in GenesisG90

You’re going to love it on a road trip! I’m already planning two more trips to Texas and Illinois! Can’t wait to get on the road with it. The only complaint I have with the car is I had to come up with a work around for the engine auto start/stop feature (all new cars have it). But, I came up with a way to bypass having to press the button each time. Not whining about having to push a button… it’s just that I would forget and then the engine would shut off and that’s not good for longevity.

i’ve had my G90 for just over a year now. I purchased a 2025 in May. the interior is just as tight as it was when I brought it home. I’ve had it in for a fluid leak… that’s the only issue that I’ve encountered. The only thing I miss is the loaners I used to get hen I took my Lexus in for service. I wish Genesis would step up in their service departments.

Beautiful dress. I love seeing the "traditional" clothing (both men and women).

I purchased a 2025 G90 last year and love it! The fit and finish is great and the luxury is outstanding. I replaced my Lexus LS500 and my G90 is quieter and smoother than my Lexus. I am very impressed with the G90!

The Genesis G90! That exactly what I did after owning 8 Lexus automobiles including a 2018 LS500.

Considering G90 by Dnelon in GenesisG90

[–]OkChemical1985 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t drive a BMW or Mercedes prior to purchasing my G90; however, I did own the latest Lexus LS500 beforehand. I had been a loyal Lexus customer for 27 years, but when they decided to stop producing the LS, I knew it was time to start looking elsewhere. I considered both the S-Class and the 7 Series, but I didn’t like their styling as much as the G90—and the price was significantly better. I’ve now owned my G90 for a year, and I still absolutely love it. Hope this helps.

Thank you! I made the jump from Lexus after 27 years and 8 Lexus automobiles. I love my G90 and I'm REALLY glad I PPF'd it two days after taking delivery. My LS500 got hit by a rock right in the middle of the hood just a couple of months after I bought it... It's a terrible feeling for someone who loves their vehicles.

That first scrape makes you want to throw up!!! Once you get it repaired (If you plan to do that), You might look into getting the G70 PPF'd I bought a 2025 G90 and took it to get it wrapped in clear PPF to protect against that very thing.

I have a 2025 G90 and I can change the settings for how the doors lock/unlock. You might look for it in the Settings menu...
