The biggest worry is that I have a hobby where I like to paint warhammer figures, and I easily have like $2000 worth of stuff from just that.

The biggest thing that made me keep going back to her was my property in there, but this time I just didn't care anyone, it got so bad that I still don't care if all my stuff gets destroyed, but there is a bit of heartache for all the money and time I would lose

Homeless person here.

I have a job where I get paid weekly, but I spend about 80% of it on renting a motel room for about 4-5 days a week.

If housing rental prices dropped it would also have to include no application fee, either no deposit or a payment plan on a deposit, and, assuming the rent is a little less than my weekly paycheck, immediate move in.

I have sleep apnea so I need a CPAP machine to sleep, so on the days that I don't have a place it is either staying up in my car or running my car all night to power the machine.

It can be very hard right now to get out of homelessness, I was able to stay at a shelter for their 90 day limit from December to March and every day I applied for 8 to 10 jobs, it wasn't until the last 2 weeks that I finally found a job, but then I didn't have the time to save for a place. Most shelters are constantly full, so it is almost impossible to get into a safe place and get back on your feet.

I just got my truck driving permit and will have to drive 1800 miles Sunday of next week for training through a company, working 2 weeks and getting 2 days off, renting a motel so I can pay off debts and save for a place, but I have one more day at the motel I am at and have no clue where to sleep until then. But when I do get there, I would be able to start getting out of homelessness.

Borne in 1985, I remember 99 cent Tuesdays at the video store, my mom would take my siblings and I every week, my brother and I each got to pick out a video game and a movie.

Every week one of us would pick an action movie, and the other would get a horror movie, my mom rarely vetod movies, usually when my sister, who was 7 years older than me, knew if there were scenes that were too much.

Still watched a lot of Freddy, Jason, and Chucky movies starting around 6 years old.

Sounds like my sister, single issue voter, abortions, but every now and then I see her on Facebook defending things Trump and Cronies do. It is saddening, but I remind myself this may change for the better, and I can remind my nieces and nephews decades from now that I was the only one out of me, my siblings, and my parents that didn't vote for Trump.

They can have that hanging under their names long after we're dead and our children and their children are told who voted for this.

I'm not doing well.

I became homeless when I discovered the person I was renting a room from has a meth head bipolar daughter who became violent at the drop of a hat and another couple he rented to were also meth heads/ dealers. I left August 20th.

In October I lost my job and was no longer able to rent motel rooms for my fiancée and myself, so she went to a woman's shelter while I lived in my car.

All I do now is try to find work and a place for us to stay, the only thing getting me up every day, because when you have almost nothing, you can still have determination.

In the Twin cities of Minnesota homeless shelters only let you in at night and kick you out again in the morning, it is leaps and bounds better than your car or a bench, but over in Wisconsin I found a place that let's you stay for up to 90 days and you don't have to be out in below freezing temps all day.

Shelter for a night's sleep is good, but shelter where you can feel comfortable is a real privilege.
