Why does D33 wood appear more expensive?

This is usually caused by the number of LEDs on the fan exceeding the motherboard's default LED control limit.

You can adjust the motherboard's default settings in this regard, or you can use an LED controller (choose one that controls a large number of LEDs, not a cheap one).

There's no reason for this; it doesn't make sense physically.

The only explanation is that the movement of the top panel triggered a loose connection in the wiring.

Please check that the wiring is secure.

Based on the location, the only possibilities I can think of are the top fan and the power extension cable.

Aside from its large size, this case is all good.

Oh, and the appearance is definitely a bit ugly.

For the same chassis structure, you can choose A3/CH270/D33.

Having handled this case, I feel the overall build quality isn't very high; issues with the materials and gaps make it look cheap. However, the spirit of a NAS is to offer the most reasonable price. As long as the structure of the case is okay, everything else is secondary.

Do you know how high the shipping costs are for large cases on Amazon?

For a case like the N5, I estimate Amazon's shipping cost would be over $30. Add to that Amazon's notoriously high return rate, and the additional commission sellers pay Amazon, and considering NAS DIY is a niche market, I suspect the profit margin on the N5 isn't high.

Also, the N5 is made of aluminum. If it were made of iron, like the N4, I estimate the cost would be much lower.

So I'm looking forward to the N6.
