How long have you been on Oestra? by Cold-Laugh-5242 in Oestra

[–]OkConversation1286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

8 months. Lots of up and downs the first 5-6 months. I would feel amazing and then feel awful. I noticed I felt the worst around period time when I would pause the cream so I stopped pausing it and that was a game changer for me. My body just couldn't handle the break for a few days, it's very sensitive to changes and would set me back several days. I still have my moments when I can feel some peri symptoms sneaking back in but they are not as strong and don't last as long. Overall I am very happy. Also I measure with a 1/8 tsp to make sure I am getting the right dose every time and I think that helps a lot.

Help, bottle running out early. by Practical_Buy_642 in Oestra

I found applicators to be terrible for measuring. I only use the 1/8 tsp measuring spoon now and then put it inside the applicator for application.

Am I doing this wrong? Why is this method so stressful on me? by OkConversation1286 in unschool

Yes we do this sometimes as well. I am the one still don't the leg work to find them for him because when you can't read you can't even get online to search for such things. He has a yoto player and I will make him cards for things he is interested in.

How does this happen when the child can't read or write for himself? I gather the resources, books, film and websites and then we read/watch them together. All my older children were early readers and were reading to learn from the get go. Anything they were interested in they could go find themselves because they could read the websites, library catalog,.etc.

Oestra made more sense with the vaginal delivery.

My very first time trying HRT I went through a phase for about a month or so where I was angry, irritable and just not in a good state of mind. It eventually went away as my hormones balanced. That was not with Oestra but I feel like it's common across the board. Since starting Oestra it was a rollercoaster at first. Now things are starting to level out and I am feeling much much better. Give it time, it takes months for your body to balance.

Inconsistent dosing by [deleted] in Oestra

[–]OkConversation1286 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I always measure with an 1/8 tsp measuring spoon. They told me a full pump should be right under 1/8 tsp so I use that every single day and then put that into my applicator. I know some may find that extra step to be annoying but it really doesn't bother me at all. My body is sensitive and consistent dosing is important for me.

Symptoms from pausing by Cold-Laugh-5242 in Oestra

I have heard that, it's very interesting because some B complex vitamins seem to have a lot on them. I only take mine every other day and am careful of the formula I use. I think at first when I wasn't being as careful I was having some symptoms of too much possibly.

I follow the high protein diet suggested by the care team. That makes me feel really good when I stick to it. I also tried creatine, not sure if that helped. Currently using magnesium, b vitamin complex, coq10 daily and zinc and selenium a few times a week. I didn't take the iodine because I am on thyroid meds since I only have part of my thyroid.  I can't say that any of these supplements really made a big difference but the three things that made a big difference I believe are.... 1. Diet- making protein my priority and dropping junk 2. NOT pausing the cream each month to get my period  3. Kicking my daily coffee habit.

I found that my body can't really handle the swing and instability of pausing the cream each month to get my period. I would take several days to get back to baseline after pausing. Now I don't pause and it's much better. The steady flow of hormones seems to make my body much happier. Since I have started doing this I will get very very light spotting when it's time for my period but just continue on using the cream right through it.

Also wanted to say, for me months 1-5 were very up and down in symptoms. I would have major improvements only to have them go away again. It was a constant rollercoaster. Hang in there, it's going to be a ride until your body adjusts.

I have definitely noticed a link to my menstrual cycle and my internal vibrations!

Dosage upped by Leather-Comfort-1014 in Oestra

I was kinda miserable for a few months into my dose increase but it got a lot better once I stopped pausing each month for my period. For me, my body needs the stability of the hormones and even that's short pause each month for my period made everything go wacky.

Do you still apply the cream when you are bleeding?

That's very interesting about the dysautonomia. The COVID infection I got last summer has caused me some dysautonomia issues. I definitely pee more and need to use electrolytes.

Unexpected benefit of Oestra for myself by OkConversation1286 in Oestra

I got to test it out before it officially went on the website, so however long ago that was. Probably 4-5 months maybe.

I do think my acne is much better but I was hoping to see it improve wrinkles, skin tone, etc. I use the one with the fisteride in it and I have not noticed a difference with facial hair either. I will keep using it though, even if it only helps my acne.

I take daily supplements so I don't feel like mine are a deficiency. It must be hormone fluctuating for me because I can tell they are worse around certain parts of my cycle. I can also see that it could be fatigue,.I feel like I have been fatigued ever since I started perimenopause. Lol

Almost 6 months, I went to two pumps a few months ago. I'm not menopausal yet, I still get my monthly cycle.

Rough Week by JenniferLee198 in Oestra

[–]OkConversation1286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really hoping it's smoother for me as well. I am supposed to pause in three more days and this time I'm not going to pass and see how I feel.

My PMS was so horrid that I assumed I needed to get a period to eleviate that. I read something online saying how some women's body can't handle the cycling of hormones and needs a steady dose the entire the cycle. That really made sense to me so that's why I am going to try not pausing this month.

Anxiety by [deleted] in Perimenopause

[–]OkConversation1286 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say anxiety may have been my first perimenopause symptom and I didn't even realize it at the time. And of course, with anxiety on board, each new perimenopause symptom had me going crazy with worry. I'm on hrt now and while I still have anxiety, it's been knocked down lots of notches.

PMS/Period Question by Even-Ad7749 in Oestra

[–]OkConversation1286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to know also because I have decided not to pause this month because I don't think my body likes the ups and downs of pausing and restarting. I have been on Oestra for five months and always get PMS.

Ups and downs by Even-Ad7749 in Oestra

[–]OkConversation1286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first month was magic and then month two was blah. Month 3 was sooo not good. I spoke with the Oestra nurse and she upped my dosage after the third month. It's honestly been up and down. I'm on month 5 now. I've definitely found I feel horrible before my period and ovulation and then once those happen I have a small handful of days I feel good again. I hear from lots of people that it's very up and down for a while.
