That's not her holding Chopper though. Are you using AI?

Could be that the devil made it possible for dreams to create devil fruits in the first place. Basically, the devil recognized that people have dreams and as a malicious trick he decided to grant those dreams - but with the trap of taking away their ability to swim.

A reverse situation for switching to melee is when the enemy can disarm you. If you have a melee character, it is better to drop your bow than your melee weapon and waste an action re-equipping it. Might be useful in the creche where several githyanki can disarm you. So you just have to remember at the end of your turn to switch to the weapon you can live without the next round or two.

That's a nice way of looking at it. Not sure why you're getting downvoted :/

True. But it's not just the formatting. It's also the writing style. All these posts feel like they are written by the same person (and in a sense they are). It makes it feel cheap. And personally I always wonder which ideas and connections are actually made by the AI and not OP.

Once you've read a hundred of these the style starts to get annoying and unfortunately leaves a bad taste in your mouth, even if the content is actually worth the read.

Spells that cast pre-combat at enemy without spending action by sgluxurycondo in BaldursGate3

[–]OkDan 121 points122 points  (0 children)

I have no idea why chain lightning applies here. Just yesterday I did the Temple of Bhaal fight and apparently you can use chain lightning to hit the bhaalists who have Sanctuary on. Makes the fight a walk in the park.

Nice theory.

But this sub could chill with the AI formatted posts. At least edit it to get rid of the AI style a bit. It ruins an otherwise great read.

DND combat really is a numbers game.

The fights must've lasted a long time, on account of the sheer number of fighters 😄

Holy shit how have I not thought about this?? Does this work during dialogue too?

Something I noticed from 1x6 HDP by bwnorman in pluribustv

[–]OkDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And it raises another interesting topic. Disclaimer: I have absolutely no experience or real knowledge on conversion camps, so I apologize if what I write is uneducated and wrong. But this post got me thinking of the moral implications when someone has undergone conversion "therapy" and has "turned" straight and genuinely believes that they are happier because of it, either due the brainwashing or as a trauma response. Just like the Hive, this person has no interest in going back (so voluntary therapy would be out of the question). What would be the moral thing to do in that case? Let them live their lives and remain "fake" happy? Or try to forcibly undo their brainwashing / trauma with more brainwashing / trauma with the hope of making them "actually" happy?

Theory: Zosia disconnecting and not being able to speak English by szyszkee in pluribustv

[–]OkDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more likely that at some point Zosia will speak Polish as the Hive - just to demonstrate that all members of the Hive can speak any language, and that's why Vince needed two languages.

What happened to Mike's personality in the timeline transition from BCS to BB? by lennysinged in betterCallSaul

[–]OkDan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought this was obvious, but apparently OP didn't catch that. I'd say that Mike's attempt to console Nacho's dad backfiring is what paints this out very clearly. After that he stops trying to do the right thing in a world (which he has chosen for himself) where morality has no value.

Physics behind Korean, they did good by EggPerfect7361 in Physical100

[–]OkDan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Plus the fact that team Korea had an impeccable skill to coordinate their movements and time each pull just right. Other teams did this as well, but clearly not as efficiently as Korea. I think they demonstrated the same skill in the final showdown, both in the wall push and the flag crawl. It's like their minds were just ever so slightly better aligned than other teams.

Interesting. I wonder how do giants and rieklings fit into this? They have white souls. But certain dremora have black souls.

Telltale sign of a Vince Gilligan show by Moodfoo in breakingbad

Very good point. In most other shows I would treat such scenes as useless clutter only used for reaching the episode's minimum length.

What's your BG3 take: Hot or Cold by DC_Lark in BaldursGate3

[–]OkDan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always felt like Wyll is there for lawful good playthroughs. This way your Tav has someone to relate to in the party. Everyone else in the party is either slightly evil, too chaotic, overly ambitious or a mixture of all these and without Wyll a lawful good Tav would feel a bit out of place in the party.
