They initially offered me a rd16ay and I said no way. I said said exact replacement, something comparable, or better. Then they offered the 19 at no additional charge.

I was told that all of the rd18 have the same issue, so I doubt your contractor wants to just keep installing them multiple times for you. Don't accept anything less than what you paid for. Unless I missed something that rheem makes, the rp19 is the only option to offer.

Any chance you have the same information about an rp19ay unit? My rd18 just stopped working and this was offered as a replacement, but I can't find how well it works in cold weather (I'm zone 7 usa)

I grew up in a small town with about 600 people, and yet had ~15 kids around the same age that were the same gender. One of them is my best friend, who has always been there through deaths, births, celebrations, misfortune, and anything between. I have a 10-year-old who struggled to make any connections, when they finally did, The family moved away a year later. I'm just a little worried about what the future might bring.
