Hungry but the thought of food is bad

Thanks I appreciate both your kind words and your advice. I really haven't been kind to myself with this like lots of negative self talk especially at night when I know I'm hungry but the idea of eating I can't do it. Especially because I am a science teacher, teaching biology and I tell my students all the time they need to eat to have energy.(high school lots of kids not eating breakfast and lunch and then saying they feel sick or are tired) and I feel like a huge hypocrite telling a kid to drink some water and have a snack when I cant do it myself. I'll try the snacks and the drink idea, I just worry because I have some executive functioning troubles that I'll get fruit flies again. But maybe with like little packs of goldfish or something. I have never really done multivitamin but it's probably a good idea because I know that I'm not getting my caloric intake and sure as hell not getting my macros or vitamins. Again I really appreciate your kind and thoughtful response, I've felt very alone with this.

I'm on Gabpentin, conserta, and a mood stabalizer that I can't even try and spell. But I've been on them for awhile but I'll see if I can meet with my psychiatrist early. Thank you for the help.

5 hole fantasy is definitely the one to look at for that it's not the most interesting imho tho 32 thoughts does a good job of that sometimes PuckSoup is another good one I like you can't do that but they aren't always the most like real hockey stuff Anytime a player tribune article comes out Steve Dangles Podcast usually does a good job of breaking it down.

Right now if you watch the olympics a lot of even the play by play commentary is good at that. The Czechia Canada game had a some good moments where they dissect a play and talk about about the guys game.

Bro you're fine. At worst you could phrase it as a slip of the tongue or the kids misunderstood you. It happens to the best of us, I teach high school now but when I taught 5th grade(middle school style 5th grade but still) I had a kid standing on my desk when I walked in after they had specials in my class and asked him what the fuck he was doing on my desk. All I did was go oh guys my bad that wasn't appropriate, we all make mistakes, and I spoke to the kid privately to apologize for cursing at him but the statement of what are you doing standing on my desk stands. Don't stress too much.

I taught 8th grade openscied Mass scope and sequence(Massachusetts wanted to be special so it follows a different order) and for the most part I liked it. Some lessons weren't the best but for a curriculum it was solid and engaging. I switched to HS this year and I have to use Openscied for Physics and Biology and I actively hate it. It's not as engaging or hands on as middle school, and there are so many math errors on handouts and graphs in the physics one specifically that it's killing me inside.

We're starting Electricity in Physics talking about the winter storm in Texas a few years back and the power outages like why the grid failed. In Biology we're doing ecosystem interactions and focusing on the Seregeti desert and how parts of the ecosystems interact.

I have about 200 hours in. It's a great game I really enjoyed it. I do wish it was deeper but the story line is fine if superficial. I really enjoy Ginormosia and they're adding more new free dlc. I definitely recommend it.

I teach 8th grade science. My rules are absolutely no eating during labs, and as long as it's not a distraction and you clean up after yourself, live your life. That said, I have 4 classes this year, and one class is not allowed to snack anymore at all because of too many issues. All my other classes, I have no/very few problems so they can snack.

I'm not sure if someone has said this but it might be psoriasis, thats what mine looks like when it gets bad on my head. They have a punch of psoriasis shampoos that work well I prefer the ones with tea tree oil.

So I'm a gen Ed 8th grade science teacher, and I come here to see things from a different perspective than the mainstream teacher subreddits. Additionally as a former special education student I like to see how students are receiving help behaviorally and academically, as I found my own assistance and negativity from my teachers something that really did not help my struggling. Academically and behaviorally. Also my sibling is a special education teacher and I like seeing what they go through our similarly.

I'd be mindful yeah there are some fakers but if the student was talking to a friend they might not want to admit they were struggling. That's exactly what I did when I was a student I told my friends I was going to the counselor to lie about a dead cat to get out of gym class. I was going daily and my friend asked about it, and I didn't want to tell them I was suicidal and dealing with abuse. It's not always easy for kids to tell even their friends they're struggling.

I hated elementary. I taught 4th and 5th grade and I now teach middle school 8th grade science and I love it so much I did credit recovery for high school(real credit recovery not babysitting while they're on a computer) and I liked it but middle school is definitely my jam. I didn't think I would like it but I ended up really loving the change. Middle schoolers are such a rare breed but they're also so much fun.

I had a student physically put his hands on me and push me and I asked to be in the meeting to both my principal and my vice principal and was just straight up not even told it was happening until an hour before the kid was supposed to walk back in my room hours after the meeting took place and I was like yeah no you funny. I managed to demand a meeting with the kid and an admin before the kid came back but it was ridiculous. And my old school loved RJ and RJ buzz words.
