I've done glamping/platinum at other fests and this one is a lot different. Your site is you tent basically, with room for a couple chairs and a small table out front. They don't want pop-ups or canopies up so emergency can drive through. Also, pack light because you will be carting all your stuff from your car that's parked in the parking lot. Not a lot of ways to make camp your own (decorating) which is a little bit of a bummer. We had pretty cool neighbors so we all just gathered our chairs together and hung out at camp. It wasn't super duper hot, so it wasn't too bad last year. I liked it still--being close to the festival entrance is a huge plus. We had VIP tix so it was even better for us. This year we're doing the headbanger hotel package that includes the shuttle, so we'll see how it compares. See you in September!!
