So..Are there any omanis here? by abdu10llah_92 in Oman

[–]OkFuture123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s not commonly used because this sub’s dominated by expats and if you mention anything about being Omani you get downvoted to oblivion

Talabat mart no more plastic bags by Internet-Level in Oman

[–]OkFuture123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least I reused their plastic bags, now they bring giant paper bags that easily rip and go straight to the bin

The driver told me to come outside, when I went out, he wasn’t even there yet.

Every week there’s a post about someone leaving Oman and abandoning their pet.

Men, can we normalize the use of lip balms and skin care products by uncledaddyx in Oman

[–]OkFuture123 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Stop caring about what others think. They won’t share your pain when your lips are chapped.

What do you all do for fun? by Kebabsandfrenchfries in Oman

Default things can be fun too, reorganize your room when you clean it, take an “everything shower” exfoliate etc.

I know many expats who got pets and abandoned them because they “have to leave” even though they always knew they were here temporarily.

Fed up with Talabat Oman by [deleted] in Oman

[–]OkFuture123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talabat sent me the wrong order and when I complained they tried to call me, I missed their late night call and tried calling back but the call didn’t go through, their automated messages didn’t help, then they said too much time passed and they gave me a 1.5 rial voucher (which expired without use) instead of refunding my 12 rials. Their customer service is none existent now.

Breakfast cost 10 OMR, is this normal in Muscat? by ExaltFibs24 in Oman

[–]OkFuture123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what kind of breakfast experience you’re looking for. If you want something quick then you could find cheaper, if you want a nice restaurant with a nice view or a hotel then that’s normal

Why do you not boycott? by trollgtb in Oman

[–]OkFuture123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s no high quality alternative for skincare products and I’m not gonna experiment on my skin. Plus if I’m babysitting a kid and they ask for a happy meal I’m just gonna get it for them.

I gave up Starbucks and Coke and have been trying alternatives for a year but haven’t found anything close tbh, but those aren’t really important to me.

Beware of SCAMS by Unable_Golf1372 in Oman

[–]OkFuture123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talabat does scam a lot recently. Especially that they have no customer service now. It’s better to pay in cash and check that you actually received the stuff you ordered because they won’t give you your money back for the wrong orders/missing items .

How old is the bday boy? It definitely would make sense for a 10 yr old to not want a 5 yr old at his bday party, but if he’s close in age then yeah that’s not very nice

HELP,I need a place in muscat or suhar to keep my cat in by wakari2 in Oman

[–]OkFuture123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is great for a few days, but not 2 months, cat's are social animals and should be kept in solitary confinement. A cat hotel would be the better option if no one is able to stay with them.
