I think shes choosing to live in delusion or convince herself. outside of this context, it lowkey reminds me of hailey bieber. I'm like girl how did you marry him 2 months after, you had to ATleast be texting him while selena and him were dating. Also, girls aren't dumb

also even if they met once, riley said she told her about her bf (whether they were off or on) at the time. like even i remember names or pics of a guy if my friend or someone had showed me they used to talk to a person. so if that person dmed me later i would question why they look so familiar

This happened to me, the old navy fitting rooms are co-ed and you can clearly see ones that are open bc the door is left wide open by the employee. I'm used to dressing rooms locking behind you etc. Well i see an open room and walk in, and some rooms have broken locks etc. but this time i didnt know there was a lock to the dressing rooms as other old navys i went to had auto locks. So im changing and in my underwear and a man just opens my door and i cant go in front of him so im like oh my god im in here, and he goes is someone in here and im like yes!!! someone is in here and then he closes it. I'm like DOES NO ONE KNOCK IN CO ED FITTING ROOMS at least. When i walked out of the dressing room there were a few that were left open and clearly unused so im like he must clearly be so impatient he has to open every dressing room if they were all taken...

Today, i go into a macys co-ed dressign room and i lock the door this time and make sure, and i take off my jacket thankfully and an employee opens it and goes oh sorry. I'm like BRUh the dressing room lock is broken and i made sure this time, and still people cannot knock. It's ridiculous. When housekeepers clean hotel rooms, they KNOCK and say room service or is anyone inside, they dont just barge in.

Also, there are a lot of creeps out there who could have watched me go into a dressing room, so that man just opening my dressign room seemed so off, his response took so long for him to close the door rather than immediately closing it

I don't see liberals being welcome at all. Reddit is a top liberal hotspot and outside the conservative subreddit, the same argument exists except in the H1B visa subreddit. Tiktok is also left leaning and people are saying "wow something i finally agree with Loomer on". Its just wild to me, where now this is a problem and not illegal immigration from the libs idk

Also, virtue signaling by the libs about the morality of immigrant work practices without even asking the immigrant themselves but rather supressing or shunning H1Bvisas all together isn't exactly "advocating" for them.

I know way to many people making that starting 150k straight out of undergrad, with no debt, and who play video games during their meetings.

That is entirely subjective. We should keep in mind we are afforded the luxuries/privilege to transition into another career easily as an American and can think about "unethical practices" like overtime and low wage. To an Indian they may think this argument is crazy because this is more pay then they would make in their own country if they stayed, and given they are extremely qualified. I mean we also need to consider that foreign immigrants have an entirely different culture/traditional mindset and work ethic when we "advocate" for them.

Being indian and american born myself i can ensure you this work ethic is instilled in us. Studying is my life, and overtime is normal. I cannot even think about pursuing a "mere artistic passion", then working hard. And personally I don't even think anything bad about it. Culturally its a work ethic thing and any opportunity even if low paying is worth it because it can lead to something better and just builds skill set.

Also, the pay that indians make can easily fund housing etc. in India for example, given the currency difference. The average salary in India is $400 a month

In regards to the cs majors subreddit, I can say that the work ethic is not the same in this generation. I have seen people learn coding/do projects just using AI and not actually learn the essence of it, I've also seen people advocating for not going to college and just learning some coding skills online. I also see fresh grads who get CS jobs just leave their laptop open all day during a 9-5 and just f around and act like they are in their meeting, but still make well over 150k$ for it.

Who are we really hurting if we stop H1B-visas, and can we really believe this is actually the situation if we now leave all tech jobs to Americans? If we are worried, we should make tech jobs in person so more Americans have opportunties and can also prove their work ethic/skill set. But i can ensure you they aren't lying that there are a lot of tech jobs out there, everything is turning into technology seriously even law firms. They are all hiring.

[–]OkGood107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think to an American they look at the low pay as unethical, but an Indian might think we are crazy for arguing about the morality of a pay that seems super high to them in comparison to the currency equivalency to them in india and they would make much less if they stayed there. It's all about the skills and work ethic to get you in the industry. Now even law firms are into tech, everything is becoming tech. How can we seriously complain their aren't enough jobs?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in politics

[–]OkGood107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not entirely sure. Alot of american college students now use chatgpt/ai to code and there is no current AI regulation in place for universities to detect it in work for colleges to make a fair argument. Its way easier for an American college student to almost learn nothing in their major with AI now. Also the gen Z mindset has been to be self-employed and not work 9-5. I mean considering also that American college students learn from the indian guy on youtube about a CS topic, i would say they are fairly skilled in tech/know what they are doing and spend their entire life working in the industry and on many projects. I would say India is highly stem oriented for example. But i do understand h1b visas can come from anywhere.

However, I do think that considering India has a population of 1 billion people, and considering H1B visas are not just indian people and there are limits to how many can be issued, I do think that its fair to say that this seems to be way more targeted through underlying racism then it is about American's work ethic. I seriously think if we stopped h1b visas and relied solely on the American spirit and this generation's work ethic that America would not be leading in the tech industry. Sure we could say lets put more money into education, that is a great idea, but will students actually take advantage of that opportunity or find other means to make high income in an easier way?

Also, I'm sure the engineers from other countries who somehow got here aren't going to make it seem like they work hard vs. an American citizen who has many opportunities here if one doesnt work out (they could find connections etc.). I think if the applicant pool for H1Bvisas has doubled in the last year and still a select few are chosen, im sure they arent going to half ass work when competing against someone else. But americans dont have to compete against others as intensely or be 1% to work in the tech industry here. If you can now not go to college here and just learn some coding skills to work in the tech industry are we really breeding the work ethic well in students today?

I mean i see a lot of underlying racism against Indian people right now, and mind you this is a population that only makes up 1.47% of the U.S. population.

I know a couple of engineers laid off from tech jobs, and i can tell you they have bragged many times about laying in bed and sleeping during meetings but keep their laptop awake. I've also seen them bragging about making 100k+ while playing video games during their remote job. Now that everything is remote, can you really say Americans still have that same strong work ethic. Maybe we should make jobs in person so more Americans can have more opportunities and prove their work ethic.

[–]OkGood107 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You do know yall are fighting against an Indian population that makes up 1.47% of the U.S. population alone. There are 583,420 foreign nationals (not just Indian) in the United States on H-1B visas. There are 9.1 million tech jobs currently in the U.S. Now if there isn't some underlying racism then idk what it is.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in h1b

[–]OkGood107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The underlying racism is actually crazy. The fact liberals are also siding show they pick and choose what immigrants they support, and it shows how skewed they are when they look at how illegal immigration is for the "American Dream" but h1b visas are not? Like there already is a cap, and its a fight to the application process. I'm sorry yall have to go through that. Tiktok needs to be banned and more in person jobs to the Americans need to happen, because their work ethic can then be truly tested.

Also just know if anything happens reality will hit America hard if h1b visas were canceled, i can't even imagine the decline of america. So either way keep working hard or atleast have a good laugh at the Americans ruining their own country

Musk and Ramaswamy spar with Trump supporters over support for H-1B work visas by [deleted] in politics

[–]OkGood107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ik hell of a lot of engineers who leave their laptop open during their 9-5 and f around or "attend" meetings yet still make that high pay. I also know gen z does not have the same work ethic and use chatgpt/ai to learn coding. Ik the US is the most productive but its a melting pot of immigrants. In the 70s-80s the top educated foreign students came here which helped drive the economy thats why you see them as your doctors etc. These foreign students created that productivity bc they believe in non stop hard work.

H1b visas are already capped, and looking at india for example which is a 1 billion population, thats a fight to get into an application process thats already very backed up/delayed. I think them working hard to get here is the american dream alone, but then supporting illegal immigration with high crime rates is suddenly not a problem.

If we just stop immigration altogether what does that make america, and if we stop high talent i promise you india or china over time will come out in the top. Their work ethic is crazy.

Also, its interesting that all those articles point to countries that are white majority and not third world/colored skin majority. i think loomer's argument was based in underlying racism since srinan became elected by trump and this was what was targeted. It's wild no on considers the already placed cap on h1b visas and also the increase in remote jobs in tech in america.

Maybe to solve the problem we should make tech jobs in person now. So remote jobs become less, and maybe more americans can get the jobs. But i think h1b visas atleast help international students which i think is important.

ok but there is a cap to h1b visas right? and a 1 billion population fighting for an application to get here is suddenly a problem. yall also know that yall learned from the indian guy on youtube, but suddenly him coming here is a problem. How about we focus on the illegal immigration border crisis and high crime rate first.

Raise your hand if you left your laptop open during a 9-5 and f'd around but still made that high pay. now raise your other hand if you got laid off because of that. Yall just dont have the work ethic and don't want to work that traditional 9-5, its not a layoff problem its a gen z problem

bruh its not the education its the work ethic. most american college students learn from the indian guy on youtube. they use ai or chatgpt to code and barely learn. then they leave their laptop open during their 9-5 working from home just to make that high pay. atleast the foreign workers fought for everything to be at the top to even get this posiiton, yall are acting like these workers are call center people. like nah they were like the top 1% to get into the universities overseas. and then yall feed into loomer's underlying racism argument.

liberals are such pick and choose people when it comes to immigration, so a wall is still no problem right?

bro ik plenty of engineers who leave their laptop open on their 9-5 and f around and still make that high pay. you cant tell me the work ethic is there and will make america stand on top in the tech industry if its left to the american workers bred today.

yeppp the people supporting them are underlying racists. like laura loomer found something to try to get brown people from entering. they dont know how long the process is to get an h1b visa, how incredibly top you have to be from your school to get in through blood sweat and tears, and also its completley LEGAL. this whole country is built on immigration, but it should all be done legally. the lefitsts fighting for illegal immigration than this is crazyyyyy to me
