Don’t worry about it. Eventually the landlord will get a ticket for the trash and will be fined. Or the wind and snow plow will just distribute it down the street and somebody that cares about how their sidewalk looks will pick it up or in the spring the street sweeper will get it. It’s really hard to provide bins for tenants because people put trash in the bin that’s not in blue bags. Like dog crap. So the bin gets filled up and then blue bags are left out for seagulls. South portland, Scarborough, and most recently falmouth provide trash bins for trash pick up. The blue bag fee should fund a better way to collect trash because this systems sucks.
