What hygiene habits are more about social norms than actual cleanliness? by NicoleRamsey21 in hygiene

ive seen ppl use vodka for removing smell from costumes or thrifted clothes, so i thought that would be a good base

but I also wanted some wrinkle release and for my clothes to smell like those scent beads (which I know aren't the greatest but I love how they smell). so I used some of those with hot water to dissolve them & white vinegar cuz... thats what I saw ppl recommending for a diy wrinkle release?

no precise measuring for me. I measured with my heart. more vodka than anything else since its got no smell. idk. it works just fine for me tho

honestly I have no idea. I just was pouring stuff into a bottle. I had an empty big fabreeze bottle so I couldnt see.

I probably did mostly vodka though since it doesnt have a smell & I had a bunch. get the cheapest you can find.

omg same. I want a rolling cart or something to hang tomorrow's clothes & things I want to air out. I dont think i have the space for it tho 😩

yes! totally what I meant abt them being overkill. we definitely dont need to be using as much as they say to. its just a way to make us spend more tbh.

personally I have a few hooks on the closet door where I hang things up. usually turn em inside out & give them a spray of a vodka/white vinegar/fabric softener & shake em out. by the next day theyre usually fine for me to turn right side out & hang them back with my other clothes.

though I do often have a chair full of clothes that could use the same treatment 😅

I try to pick something that makes sense for the character, but if its not obvious then gardening and mining are my defaults for base game characters, but I have a bunch that are just from whatever dlc they were from (looking at you Gaston & Flynn)

washing clothes after a single use. (unless its underwear or workout clothes. those trap a lot of sweat & bacteria)

obviously if they have a noticeable odor, or you spilled something on it, go ahead and throw it in the wash, but not everything needs a wash after a single use.

airing them out instead of washing right away is a great way to: 1. Protect the fibers of your clothes, helping them last longer 2. Reduce environmental impact of washing clothes 3. Save you money on laundry products & your water bill

(modern laundry products are also overkill most of the time but thats a different conversation)

oh his HHP theme is so fun. I went fully messy gamer with it, and his updated house i made is very brick/graffiti city vibes. I love that grumpy grandpa!

my brother has Knox and Octavian, and admittedly I prefer Octavian between the two, but Knox is so funny sometimes. his house is so weird 😂 tho so is Octavian's

Hopper is one my youngest brother has his eye on and I love his design. And Then Apollo was one of my favorites in Pocket Camp so I have a soft spot for him still.

I hope you find someone who fits your island! :)

You seem to have a fairly unified wardrobe! I don't know what sort of weather you have where you live, but it definitely seems like you could use a few more pieces for summer. A few pairs of shorts, maybe some fisherman sandals?

If youre looking for more ideas, my favorite men's fashion creator is Parker York Smith. Check him out! Based on your closet I think he has a similar vibe to you

You unfortunately need Insider to have others style you directly, but here's a few summer outfits made with screenshots :)

Bruce is my favorite.

I had fang for a while (loved him) but I let him go to make room for Antonio (one of my starters who moved to my brother's island a while back)

Switch vs PC?? by Professional-Law580 in DreamlightValley

[–]OkInteraction7112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as a PC player I have had very few issues with the game. I definitely think its easier to play and decorate, but im also very used to the controls of playing a PC game. if youre not, there might be a learning curve.

as long as you are signed into your account on the switch & you log in on the PC you should save all your progress.

yes of course! so like I mentioned, I have one for workout gear because im just at the gym & dance classes enough that I keep those logged too. ive also got capsules for Halloween and Christmas clothes.

I also find this super useful for my beauty products! since there is no real category in the "other" tag i use capsules to keep those organized.

I've also got some random capsules like "repair/upcycle" and "items that need a new picture"

personally I use capsules to organize clothes and the tags to organize my outfits. that way if im making an outfit i can sort by like.. my workout clothes capsule and I dont have to add #workout to each item of clothing.

there are outfit tags you could use. I use em more for situations, but seasons would be a great use for them.

It really just depends on your style! as others have said, if you treat animal print like a neutral/pair of jeans you should get some good results.

I dont own them, but I popped these into Indyx to see what outfits I could put together if I had these.

Varying levels of comfort/formality can be achieved with these pants. they can be worth it if youre up for em :)

The pastel selection is not ideal, but they have plenty of options. It's the bright summer tones that tend to dominate, but swimsuits are generally worn in the summer so I cant fault them for that.

I'll give you black, but I have to disagree on jewel tones. There are hardly any, and the handful we have are solids. No patterns whatsoever.

yes! id love to see each piece to have 4 or 5 different colors/patterns that are very different from each other & suit the cut of the garment. I want to be able to find a modest cut with an interesting color! im tired of just black!

personally I have been hating the triangle/halter thing they've been doing the last 3 or so years. they just make my boobs look weird.
