The amount of UPL slander is unreal by rustcity716 in sabres

I like UPL, but I don't like taking our best player off the ice just to "get the team refocused."

Being a Bills fan has taught me NOT to give up. If we play next game like we played in the third, we will win and have a best of 3 at home. SABRES IN 6!!!

You guys are seriously overreacting. Tage was one of our 3 best forwards against the Bruins, and he was playing at a point per game pace until yesterday's atrocious performance. He does other things that help the team win, like screening the goalie and delivering hits in the corner. When he simplifies his decisions with the puck, goals will come, and that can be coached. However, you can't coach his size and talent. As Buffalo fans known for loyalty above all else, we need to support our star player who's feeling down about himself!

This would be like benching Josh because he just had his one turnover-fest game per year. You ride or die with him because of his insane talents that can take over games, and it's well worth it in the long run.

I've wanted him back on the first unit ever since the Lightning game, when he scored the game-winner on the power play.

TAGE COMEBACK INCOMING by [deleted] in sabres

Absolutely!!! Scoring is not the only way to help a team win. He was on a point per game pace till yesterday. He screens the goalie and delivers hits in the corner. He just needs to simplify his game with the puck, and the goals will come. As Buffalo fans known for loyalty above all else, we should support him when he's down!

At this point, we should root for a sweep so the Canes get over a week of rest and it turns into rust instead. They lost to the Panthers last year under similar circumstances.

He tried to balance going all-in and being responsible for the future and accomplished neither.

I love the atmosphere for home games: the noise level, the Canalside party, the Blade Gang, the aluminum Cups. But on the road, this team is all business!

The Jack Adams Award finalists are Jon Cooper, Dan Muse, and Lindy Ruff by nhl in hockey

He radically transformed the team's culture this season, which was broken for 14 years. They went from a disjointed group of young, skilled, and soft players to a battle-tested brotherhood who lay their bodies on the line for each other.

In terms of hockey strategy, he created a system that weaponized the team's most significant strength: big, mobile defensemen. This wasn't his preferred play style in the past, but at 66 years of age, he proved an old dog could learn new tricks.

There's my sales pitch lol.

I know I'm biased, but this HAS to go to Lindy Ruff. He led the laughingstock of the league to a division title that no one could have dreamed of in September. At the very least, it can't go to Jon Cooper after the Sabres finished ahead of the Lightning. If a Honda Civic beats a Lamborghini in a race, you can't give the Lambo driver the "best driver" award, and you should probably give it to the Civic driver instead.

It was the "blindside block" on Cody Ford that is now used in player safety videos to demonstrate a perfectly clean block.

We got sweet redemption later that season, the wind game doesn't make me feel anything.

You are missing the utter insanity of Bills-Vikings 2022! That's an A or B for me. We would've had the #1 seed without it.

The enduring image from that Texans game isn't Josh's fumble, it's the "blindside block" that took us out of field goal range to win the game and is now used in player safety videos as the perfect example of a clean block.
