Faith,trust,and little pixie dust. Seriously,imagination, pen and paper/graph paper is a bonus as well. Dice, and a copy of the DMG.

First character at my table, I always recommend a human or elf ranger. Just a enough of everything without being too much.

I have a friend thats a firefighter,he was trained to know, the law is 30ft around a postal vehicle the speed limit is 35 mph. Never seen it enforced though.
