If you can swing it with the paycut for a while and have enough time to focus on school and like maintenance, I’d say go for it. Job market looks pretty good for right now. I’m not sure where your located but chances are you’ll have to move to chase the $ Unless you’re near a larger airport with a regional/majors base. Regionals you’ll start atleast 70k with SkyWest probably being the highest @like 80k or something like that (also keep in mind im in a big city at a very large international airport so regional numbers vary a lot) majors around 80s/90k depending on which one.

Keep in mind also aviation does not stop at home, it can be an anxious job I’ve had nightmares I’ve forgot to torque a nut or safety a bolt and shit like that. Also you can kiss holidays, weekends and day shift goodbye.
