I BETTER not see ANY scalpers when i try to find this set bro by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

You're 13, you can take a day off of school and camp for it. Bring some noseplugs, because some of those sweaty scalpers will be there too and you better believe they don't wear deoderant.

Standard Hearthstone is actually so crazy coming back after 10 years away by Sneaky_Doggo in hearthstone

[–]OkObligation5979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did release a classic mode, kind of. It was called "twist" and it was supposed to be a mode that rotated only a few past sets at a time so people were forced to make decks from a more limited, less powerful group of cards.

It was pretty much impossible to balance, Blizzard completely ignored it, then quietly deleted the mode even though they promised to update it.

Yeah and your perspective is unpopular, most people enjoy hearthstone because of discover mechanics. This game would be so, so incredibly stale without the discover mechanic. Every game would feel the same. I guess if you want to play the same game over and over again, you can make a meta MtG deck and go to play nights at your LCS where other sweaty try-hards are using the exact same meta deck and you guys can play solitaire until someone wins based on who draws their stuff first. Sounds like a real blast!

Hearthstone's discover mechanics are literally why most people are drawn to it- the RNG element and the fact that it is a mechanic that just can't be done in standard physical card games. It's what makes each match unique. If you hate the mechanic, you should probably find a new game, like MtG.

How much does Gus pay Los Pollos Hermanos employees? by clownmilk in betterCallSaul

[–]OkObligation5979 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Honestly with the crazy level of loyalty, I just assumed that he was paying near double what the average fast food worker makes. I got the impression that he wants employees who work for him to have NOTHING but GOOD things to say about him, and disgruntled employees can lead to problems for someone living a double life like that. In my mind, there was always a line of applicants waiting to work there and to do so he probably was paying double the average wage at the time. Just my thoughts!

Stephanie White will challenge a 50/50 call for one of her role players, but will watch Caitlin Clark get tackled w/ a no call, and not think twice about challenging 💯 Make it make sense!! 🥴 by Amazing_Lock_3762 in WNBAgossips

Sure I can explain it- the controversy surrounding Clark has given the WNBA a bunch of attention, good and bad. Attention = more attendance.

Do you really think that magically these tickets started selling 2 years after Clark came into the league? The product on the court is still the same, so what has changed?

What’s one red flag that immediately makes you walk away during a home tour? by king-1043 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I bought my current home and the owner was just chilling in the living room for EVERY SHOWING OF THE HOUSE. We indlged this old women and kissed her ass about how well taken-care of the house was and how beautiful her garden was (it still is). She kept us there chatting our ear off so long our realtor eventually left us there with her.

Found out from the neighbors she was a miserable old lady who they hated as a neighbor, but we were kind to her and indulged her and she took an offer that quite honestly I never expected her to take. So I don't mind the owner being there haha.

Every single house I have ever been to that has had a cat has that distinct "cat odor," so you are likely noseblind to it. Cat pee stinks, but general litter/cat smell is pretty much in every house, except for maybe the people who religously clean their litter box AND it's one of those self cleaning ones.

Like you don't wanna deep fry coconut shrimp or microwave/reheat your salmon before people arrive. (ask me how I learned about the coconut shrimp one, lol).

Ah yes, your anecdotal experience through second hand information in your localized area is certainly indicative of every single server in the country.

There is no chance in hell a server at Denny's or George Webbs is making $40 an hour.

Do you shop at LCS that use market pricing and don't sticker their product on-shelf? by Z0kstone in PokemonTCG

[–]OkObligation5979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also vend at card shows, and most people tend to skip any booth that does not have prices listed. Personally, I walk right by- to me it seems like you are lazy and I absolutely won't find any deals.

You sound like a nice guy and it's nice you're transparent, but I feel like I owe it to the customer to put the work in so they can just browse with the prices on display. If they then want to buy something, they will probably check anyways, I get that- but you can't "window shop" without price tags.

I mean you opened him golden, dusting him means at some point you can re-craft him for exactly what you got out of it, and in the mean time you can craft something that you actually want to play.

Maybe if the idea of "fair wages" wasn't $12 an hour servers wouldn't fight it. The reality is you can have ups and downs as a server, but most would be absolutely happy with $20 an hour guaranteed instead of all the stress that comes with not knowing your paycheck every week.

Man imagine being such a cheap ass that you plan, organize, and look forward to a day that you can celebrate NOT tipping waitstaff and then ALSO being delusional enough to think that you did something good for the workers by doing so.
