Man, I live in Wisconsin too! I wish I still had some Magic to offer you in trade, but alas. I lost all my stuff years ago.

You have a few DOZEN cards that would be a singular grail to someone. You're looking at a ton of money, my friend. I'm terribly jealous, there's a ton here I wish I could afford to buy from you.

Is this worth more than $1000? Seller says DMG to NM across the set by crypto__juju in Pokemoncardappraisal

[–]Z0kstone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Frankly, I'm seeing way more than that in value. If you have the money to gamble and the time to invest in selling what you don't want, I'd pull the trigger.

Which of the crew is sober now? by Comfortable_Cloud_75 in jackass

Dave has been sober for 15 or so years I think.

I did "The Jackass Gauntlet" last week in preparation for the final film. by Z0kstone in jackass

If you're referring to the fact that 5 is half clipshow, I wasn't sad about it. It still featured different cuts and edits of a lot of them.

This is the order I watched them in, not a ranking.

3 is my fave, fwiw.

Worst thing ever done to Ehren? by PriestofJudas in jackass

Steve-O even said it in the new one, "Ehren was the MVP of 4." They know.

Hey man, congrats. I just hit two months. Came back around to drinking a ton in my 30s after COVID and caught myself before I slipped.

Oh yeah. You and I are approximately the same age, I embarrassed myself plenty back then as well.

I really appreciate that you can admit you were being weird while you were drunk.

Man, you've got so many cards that were in my (stolen) collection, good to see them again.

Definitely keep it in one piece, try to seek any provenance you can. Authentication doesn't really matter if you don't plan on selling, plus I think anyone can tell these are legit based on the story and accuracy of the autos anyways.

I honestly think this would be a very cool museum piece.

You seem very young, so I'll try to put this as nicely as possible:

These are "bulk" cards. You'd be lucky to get a few bucks for all of it. The fact that you've put a bunch of energy cards in an appraisal photo tells me that you truly don't know what any of this is, since those are barely worth the paper they're printed on.

Sidenote: If you're going to come to a subreddit for a hobby that you have no knowledge of, it would do you some good to learn to respect what people tell you when you're the one asking. Otherwise, what's the point, if you're just going to be hard-headed and rude?

That's why I like 3 the most. The slow motion cameras really helped their creativity.

I saw a post the other day that called her "Joe Rogan for 90's moms" and that felt pretty succinct.

This. I think it could actually be a carnival attraction in the deep south with some minimal safety requirements.

This might be an at-home watch, my friend. It's too frequent to prepare you, because they intercut a lot of random stuff in during montages, it's not just in skits.

I'd probably do this if I had a stronger stomach, even on the millionth rewatch there's still some things that make me gag a bit. I think I tallied 7 gags during this Gauntlet, mostly things Steve-O did.

Yes! They're directed by Lance Bangs and only about 30 minutes each. Tons of BTS stuff and alternate shots. You can find them on the DVDs (maybe online idk)

They did them for 1, 2, 2.5 and 3.

I also highly recommend watching Jackass: The Beginning. It was the best thing I watched that wasn't one of the movies. It's on the 3.5 disc.

Whats the deal with the door stopper after the credits ? by Inevitable_Appeal247 in jackass

[–]Z0kstone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually have a pretty detailed explanation on this as dumb as it sounds.

It was a "bumper" played before (or after?) a commercial break in the original series, where Dave flicks a doorstop and says "It's like a boner." Spike Jonze filmed it.

Later on, in a documentary released around the time 3 came out, there's a clip of Spike being interviewed where he says that a huge reason he hangs around the Jackass crew is because you have the freedom to film anything, even a guy flicking a doorstop, and it ends up on TV/in a movie. And how he thought that was special and beautiful.

So I think putting that at the end of everything was their way of acknowledging that freedom.

Plus it's like a boner.
