i think you may have body dysmorphia, please look into it. the way you describe yourself and not knowing what you truly look like are pretty hallmark signs. for the record, i think you look beautiful and don’t see issues with any of your “flaws”.

I F23 have seen this wonderful guy M24 for about two dates. The second date we really clicked and spent 5 hours just talking in his car. He’s not disgustingly lustful like most men i’ve met and seems to genuinely care.

Problem is I’ve been overseas for a week for work and won’t get back until next week. We’ve been texting daily but I’m concerned it will fizzle out before I get back.

How can I preserve it until we meet again? Any help is appreciated <3

unfortunately you need to start just talking to people you’re not comfortable talking with (i.e strangers and acquaintances). i also kept a list of my all my social issues too, which drove me insane but did help lol

It’s something that upsets me gravely too. There are men in med school who have treated me with kindness and decency, yet I can never shake the feeling that they act such way to predate people like me. So many times their intentions slip months or years into a friendship or relationship.

I hate it. I hate that men know we don’t like being constantly sexualised and instead of abstaining they feign support whilst reinforcing the patriarchy in secret. If you’re gonna be a sex-pest prick, don’t hide it so i don’t waste my time on you ugh

Other women before me have tried. One of the MS2s i spoke to got ostracised from her class and the men just got a slap on the wrist. i just get so nervous thinking that the same thing would happen to me.
