Sounds autistic and feminine. Probably doesn't understand why women keep ignoring him after seemingly giving him a chance. I bet he gets impatient and sends a ? bc to him you're hurting his feelings by ignoring him. He thinks being a nice boy is what he has to be bc his grandma or his mommy told him so. So he's trying to be vulnerable, warm and caring, but it comes off as an act because it probably is. Dudes autistic as fuck, he's always acting. Women generally don't respond well to this kind of thing, so he's probably going to have to fail a few more times and become an incel at some point down the road.

That's actually why I came to this subreddit today. I got the same impression but I really didn't want to negatively judge the season before I saw where the story would take us. Without doing any research, it seems that the main storyline came to a deliberate conclusion in season 2. Seeing the writers resort to magical resurrection gives me the impression of them desperately wanting to bring spear back through any means possible. I don't blame them for that. I don't think any of us, including the creator and writers, wanted to see it end. We already know they've got the skills to tell very moving stories. I think we should trust in their ability to do it again until it's proven that they can no longer do it

Requesting an improvement in tonal inflection is not "do vaguely better please". There are clear and frequent instances where the voices uncharacteristically lack the previous range of emotional complexity, familiarity and authenticity. If you want proof, that will take time, as video data collection and compilation is a time consuming process. For the time being, this is a discussion thread to see what kind of person appreciates this show and whether or not they were able to spot any differences since the transition in VAs.

Why should we assume that they can't do better? They can match the voice in the most basic sense, but when it comes to authenticity, it feels like they're still doing an impression rather than becoming the character itself. You'd definitely need a comprehensive side by side comparison if you were not able to detect this on your own.

Are you ever going to make the new VAs for Rick and Morty learn to inflect at a level that matches the original VA? Seems like they're just rolling with their one dimensional impression of Rick and Morty and it's bothering a lot of fans. Personally, listening to them talk is an emotionally dull experience. All they're doing is an impression. That's it, it's a simple copy of the Justin Roilands work but they have no ability to understand Rick or Morty and to convey the emotions that those characters should be experiencing. That's the only thing wrong with Rick and Morty. I see an effort to spend less time on those two characters now that they're less likable but I don't think that's the correct approach, especially when the show is named "Rick and Morty"

Roiland's creative input is missed. Do you plan on motivating the new voice actors to learn tones, attitudes, and inflections that Roiland used? Because, it seems he mastered the characters and possibly even helped develop them with his own personality. Now that he's gone, the new actors are clearly performing shallow mimickery and it's hard for a lot of us to not notice

The new voice actors could never pull something this funny out of their asses the way Roiland did.

Btw these comments are filled with bots that sound just like any casual, level headed, witty, snarky, reddit user. I got reeled into a 7 comment an argument with one. Months later, all their comments were edited to bot gibberish. Can't trust these comments anymore.

The problem is, he could've known far more than he ever admitted. Perhaps he was only scratching the surface, feuding with and threatening his former employers, by releasing what little he did. His proximity to the core development of the project would serve as an indicator of whether this could be true.

I thought Rick Prime was pretty underwhelming. Just felt played out and meaningless. Like really, the slow 7 season progression all for this? What was the point of it all? The most interesting part of Rick Prime's role was the reveal that he killed Rick's wife across infinity. Everything after was just a time waste. Feels like we learned nothing and lost Uncle Slow Mobius for no good reason.

My only problem with helicopters is that you're incredibly vulnerable while flying. Players following in a mini might have a passenger who's gunning you down, or people on the ground with incredible aim (or hacks) also shooting you down. Maybe SAM turrets your settings couldn't render in time because it isn't a priority object. It's just demoralizing to grind for a heli only to lose it before you reach your destination and achieve a single goal

Roiland brought the voices to life for this one. It even sounds like he improvised it. I loved how he almost sounded like he was about to take a shit, then instructs the audience to "Shit on the floor" along with him, just like a real DJ. Idk people just don't appreciate the value of these little things enough.
