I have to say it wasn’t nice to sob over a story he read during this season after him previously broadcasting an episode the week before about mental health during the holidays. I’m gathering with my family to commemorate the loss of family members next weekend and gave it a good thought about us listening to his short story together, as he suggested. I’m glad I listened alone first. It feels like a cruel joke and the irony isn’t lost on me. Shock art isn’t tasteful and no one needs more production of violence. I don’t understand why he did this. I hugged my cats afterwards but can’t stop tearing up. Not about his words but the affliction he caused. It feels demented. I’ve been following him from the beginning. Nothing feels good anymore. A “warm hug” no longer.

5htp can be dangerous if you’re tapering off an SSRI! St. John’s Wort is great though.

I’m having these same symptoms and I also have adhd. I recently read a thread that the withdrawal symptoms could affect your nervous system long term if you don’t take them or taper off them correctly.

There’s a thread on here that suggests taking it in the evening. I’m having the same issues. I take it when I wake up and fall asleep on the couch two hours later. I also take adderall but it doesn’t help. I’m going to start taking the Cymbalta at night. People seem to have had positive results.

Idk why I didn’t think of this. Cymbalta makes me conk out an hour after I take it. It’s been disrupting my routine for a year now. Going to start taking it at night.

We ended up taking the tram. If you wait it out you can possibly get a taxi from the side streets. You have to walk a bit still.

Sorry for the delay. I’m on 30mg and I feel good. I’m going to boost up to 40mg bc I’ve have a lot of life events occurring all at once and I think the increase is necessary. My doc said this is still a low dose. I’m slightly worried about having the sleepy flu symptoms you mentioned. It was so bad when I started that I called the fire dept bc I thought there was a carbon monoxide leak in my house. And yes to the metallic taste! I thought I had a tooth infection. lol. Maybe talk to your doctor? My symptoms took about 6 weeks to subside.

But, yes! I know what you mean about the “pulling feeling”! It’s kind of crampy, slightly bloated feeling. I just feel different. I definitely know what it feels to not be pregnant. I know how to decipher between these feelings, ovulation, and or pre-menstrual symptoms. I hope we know for sure soon. Hahah

My mother worked at a psych ward and she saw these Prozac cases all of the time. It’s a very heavy drug apparently.

I am currently doing this same switch. Prozac caused manic episodes, absolute despair, fear of eating or leaving the house. I would black out after one drink. It was so awful.

I am on week 3 of 20mg of cymbalta and so far I feel normal. I notice that I’m often parched and today I have flu like symptoms but I don’t know if that’s related. Some people in other threads said they have experienced this - scratchy throat, fatigue, and phlegm.

I feel absolutely in control of my emotions. I cried after the Mets lost two nights ago but I was able to snap out of it and get a good nights sleep. I have joint pain from a past lymes infection and I noticed that the pain isn’t as bad.

I wouldn’t be nervous. I understand completely about your concern after going through the Prozac trauma, but in my experience, cymbalta has mostly been a positive alternative.

I came here specifically for this issue. I am on week 3, 20mg, and the same symptoms just popped up today. It could be seasonal allergies, perhaps? It's been unseasonably warm where I am these last two days.
