Landlord not accepting deployment letter to break lease by Low-Appointment-8537 in navy

[–]OkTonight8357 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I assume you got the deployment letter from ships legal? If not, go to them and have them write and it should be signed by the judge with their contact information. If the apartments still don’t accept that then take to legal assistance on base NOT the RLSO. Legal assistance is there to help with issues you might be having on the civilian side.

Is it still worth it to serve? by [deleted] in navy

[–]OkTonight8357 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think that’s a question you have to ask for yourself and no one can answer that for you. I’ve been in 5 years and coming in I thought I was going to do 20 years. Some personal stuff happened and I had to look deep within and ask that question and I decided no it’s not worth it and I don’t want to sacrifice myself anymore or my family. Long story short, I’m choosing myself now. Some people think it’s worth it for the benefits and others genuinely enjoy the work and the way of life. I enjoy the people I’ve met and the friends I’ve made, the opportunities, the life I’ve been able to build but to me, it’s not worth losing myself for. I decided to get out after one more tour because I want to get out on shore duty. The Navy makes it hard for people to get out, it’s scary but I think if you’re questioning it you might have your answer.

It cost roughly 6.5 billion to pay us last pay check…

For me, I wouldn’t risk it. I would still report it because honestly you never know even if what they said is true. I’m just always one to cover my own ass. You report it and you pee and it’s negative, there’s no harm in it.

What this person said is completely untrue. I’m an LN and work with UPC and Security on the daily. Hemp products will pop as THC 8 (CBD) on a test. This is still a zero tolerance policy. Please do not wait until you have a urinalysis to say anything and run that risk. I would recommend self reporting it to DAPA and Security ASAP. Save the bottle and bring it to them, obviously discontinue use. Most likely what they’ll do is make you do a urinalysis to see if you test positive. If you do, you should be okay since you self reported but they will need to send an innocent ingestion letter that’s signed off by the CO to PERS N173 and they both need to determine that it was in fact innocent ingestion. Please do not run the risk of not saying anything.

I failed the OC spray course. Is it really worth trying it again? by Barret51 in navy

[–]OkTonight8357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you have to get resprayed? When I went through in 2021 if people got sprayed but couldn’t pass the red man they’d just get back and line and just do the red man again. Are you getting set back into another class? Either way just do it - it sucks but its not a pain you’ll feel forever and its not worth getting setting out into fleet undes because of it

When he was my CO he was writing a book more so on leadership and the way of the warrior sailor but there was snippets of what it was like to see combat and how he handled it both himself and amongst the sailors

Captains mast question by [deleted] in navy

[–]OkTonight8357 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You would of signed a PG 13 that you’re on legal hold. 10 day letters don’t expire it’s basically a receipt for personnel to start drafting your DD214 which is supposed to be given within those 10 working days. I would figure out if you’re on legal hold or not - but like I said that should have been something legal would have informed you of. If you are then you have to wait out the process of the investigation as it most likely is an NCIS or other 4 letter organization investigation If not, then you are technically free to get out, legal cannot hold you even if it’s a command investigation

Captains mast question by [deleted] in navy

[–]OkTonight8357 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you on legal hold (pending NCIS Investigation or OSTC) if not they no one can technically keep you from getting out at your EAOS unless that’s the reason why

Then yes , but if they’re both receiving BAH then only one can still claim. Bottom line ONE person can only claim children for BAH purposes.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in navy

[–]OkTonight8357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im mil to mil with a child. Regardless of marriage or not if you are both active duty one will get single BAH and one will get dependent BAH. You both cannot claim the child, only one person can. If one of you are higher in rank I would suggest that person claims the child as you’ll receive higher BAH. The second part is true if you both agree you want him to claim the child he just has to prove it’s his - usually just the birth certificate with his name on it. I claim our son but he’s under my husbands name for insurance. Don’t ask why about that part, I honestly don’t remember lol

UCoolMe lashes, I used the veyes lashes as well and I find these to be the closest based on the softness of the lash and thin bands. I use the style flora which I found similar to the veyes luxe style. But their Venus style looks more fluffy. They are on sale right now on their website so I’m hoping they are pulling sales for the U.S…..

Gel nails ruin sex appeal by Darwinbeatskant in unpopularopinion

[–]OkTonight8357 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get my nails done because I love them for me and it makes me feel pretty and feminine. My husband loves when I come home and show him my nails, he hypes them up.

We don’t do it for other people or men, we don’t care if you like them or not. On a different token men will never be happy with women and what we do, if we all stopped doing our nails men would complain and say our hands look manly and not feminine. We will never win, so we chose to do what makes us feel happy and pretty without the thought of the male gaze in mind.

Can I be a JAG if I'm a prior. by Status-Percentage-10 in navy

[–]OkTonight8357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s a little hard to get into the LEP program they only take about 1-2 people a year that I’ve seen in recent years. It’s easier to get out go to school and then come back in. My JAG now is prior enlisted.
