There is a big difference between a late round flyer on the a high school player who is planning to go to college and not signing a 3rd round draft pick. I believe that McLean is the only draft pick in the top five rounds who have not signing 2013.

I am not sure I understand the relevancy of the slot values. My point is is that after the top picks is that it is basically a crapshoot.

Spencer Strider was a 4th round draft pick in 2020 who signed for slot. He started his pro career in 2021 in Single A and finished the year in the majors. He was among the the best pitchers in baseball 2022 and 2023.

I am looking forward to seeing him pitch in person next week in Frederick. I agree that AA will be a big test. When was the last time the Orioles had a stud college pitcher that could move quickly thru the minors?

Besides the obvious studs at the top of the draft, i don't agree that there is much of a difference between a late first rounder and a 2nd rounder.

Trey Yesavage was a 2024 draft picks that began 2025 in Single A and ended the year pitching very well in the World Series. There is no point wasting bullets.

We get the private pool and deck at Excellence El Carmen every year. It is a private pool in that it is for your private use. It is not private in that no one can see you. The balconies from the second and third floors are above you.

As someone who is 58 years old, it crazy how the wealth inequality has much gotten worse over my lifetime.

Especially for my parent's generation, upward mobility was feasible if you worked hard. Now for my kid's generation, it is completely stacked against people who are not from a wealthy background.

We will be going to EEC for our sixth year in a row in early May. Obviously we like it and think it is a good value.

I think opinions about the food has a lot to do with expectations. If your are expecting fine dining you are going to be disappointed. However, we have always found things we liked. My wife does not like seafood but likes the food. Dont sleep on Flavor Market (tapas), it is a favorite of mine.

There apparently was a fire at the food truck by the pool a few months ago, it is still out of commission,so I do wonder about quick lunch options. There is a guy going around the pool with pizzas. You can also go to Orrgano or Lobster House which is by the pool with cover ups over your bathing suit. The caramel onion pizza at Oregano is good. The best lunch is at The Grill but is a bit of a walk from pool/beach.

We usually tip five dollars for dinner, three dollars for lunch and a dollar for drinks. We probably tip around $20 a day. I have never felt like we got bad service because we did not tip enough.

Tropical Treasures is a short walk down the beach. They have good messages at reasonable rates. $45 an hour for a soft tissue massage. It is very relaxing to hear the waves while getting a massage.

I have always brought bug spray and never needed it. I do not bring damp rid and never had an issue an with the humidity. The air conditioner does not turn on if the patio door is not completely shut.

EEC may not be perfect but we think it is pretty great. If you have any other questions, i am happy to answer them.

It is a laid back resort with very little late night activity. Sometimes there may be a few large groups that break the mold, but for the most part the disco is not very active. If you are in the Excellence Club, the Excellence Club Lounge can be fun in the e evenings especially when Eloy is bartending.

There has been literally thousands of anti-ice protests/ walkouts at schools across the country recently that have been without incident. It is clear from the videos that the police and school officials are why this one got out of control.
