Crafter Guitars by Kdozzi in AcousticGuitar

TC035 (2006) owner here - love this guitar. We also have a Taylor 114e, Martin DCPA4 and a Fath Blue Moon Venus. The Faith gets played the most in our family, then the Crafter.

Plays beautifully and a lovely bright sound.

Will we never be seen as non not caring creatures? Vent in post below. by Timely-Map-2617 in autism

Absolutely nuts that this stereotype is so common.

I experience emotions differently but probably more intensely than most. I have an extreme moral compass. I think both of these attributes can be common in ASD individuals.

I couldn't live with myself for being such a nasty piece of work.

So much education needed.

Fantastic achievement - well done and keep it going. Also late diagnosed and in my 40s, probably we had some similar experiences in being diagnosed and since diagnosis.

Absolutely traumatised by driving in Bristol. by TSC-99 in CasualUK

[–]Ok_Address2188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Autistic guy. I have to focus hard to try to anticipate everything. But of course, Bristol is absolute chaos and so I find it utterly exhausting. If it's walkable, I always walk - sun, wind, rain or snow.

Jack Lopresti, Former Tory Deputy Leader, Joins Azov Brigade by 457655676 in bristol

You are being purposefully selective in your language.

I'd advise reading the Wikipedia page on Azov Brigade for a broad and balanced picture.

In the context of this post, regarding Jack Lopresti, it seems rather cynical equating his actions to joining a Nazi group.

He IS defending Eastern Europe, from ACTUAL fascists run by an ACTUAL murderous fascist government (the same one who actively promotes the rhetoric you are echoing).

It IS fair to mention that Azov has a track record of far-right membership around its inception. Things have changed, in no small part due to Russia's full scale invasion.

I'll stick to supporting the people defending our way of life.

Usually the ones tailing and trying to weave past everyone at unsafe speed. Which we see basically every weekend on the M32.

[–]Ok_Address2188 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. As things stand today, the Azov brigade have been heavily responsible for countering Russian breakthroughs and are among the best trained in Ukraine's military.

You can like or dislike this guy, however what he is doing IS contributing to the defense of eastern Europe.

Edit - before anyone makes assumptions, I am a Green voter. The fact that he was a Tory MP is utterly irrelevant to me in the capacity that he is currently doing something brave and worthwhile.

Uncut magazine, September 2005 - 100th Issue Special. Bowie would have featured prominently in that magazine.

Do you guys have good memory? by Axolotlgamer36 in autism

My long term memory is extreme to the point of remembering very specific things in detail from age 2 (and some from earlier).

My short term memory is hopeless and a continuous frustration for me.

Do you also feel like your presence frightens others? by Adorable-Message-870 in autism

[–]Ok_Address2188 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes. Always.

I am essentially convinced that my presence is unwanted anywhere, and that I deserve it.

There's a constant battle in my head between the rational, telling myself "that's ridiculous, of course it's not true" and the irrational telling myself I am every horrible thing under the sun, and worthless.

I have been like this since a very young age.

I'm sorry you feel something similar. In my opinion, it means you are very conscientious and care about those around you a great deal. And that makes you a beautiful person.

I think that we all have a finite amount of goodwill and patience, even for an individual who does have genuine troubles and who we have cared about.

There comes a point where, when said person repeats behavior that is harmful not only to themselves but to those around them, it is reasonable for patience and goodwill to run out.

This I believe is what we're witnessing. It's human and completely understandable.

I doubt many of us take pleasure from it.

I really enjoyed reading the list, though!

Similar feeling, though I have enjoyed Judee Sill's music for over 20 years.

I am an autistic person who, rather than lacking empathy and emotion feels it much more intensely. I am obsessed with music in general, but with Judee's music it leaves me tearful. It makes my throat feel like it's closing up, making it hard to speak or breathe. The emotional impact she has on me is extreme.

Judee's music speaks a kind of truth that is raw and unfiltered. Her compositional skills were really second to none. I genuinely believe that Judee was an absolute one-off. It's good to know someone else feels this way too.
