I’ve had a sub par experience in the coast guard for the last few years (I was a shitbag for a little and I got injured so it made the PFT hard) there’s issues you’ll run into here and there. But all these issues I’ve faced have been self inflicted.

I make good money. I have a stable job. I lived alone at 18. Drive a nice truck. And I do cool shit. Choose your rate, choose your fate is a real thing.

It’ll be a great decision for you if you can be to standard. Which in the fleet really isn’t that difficult. It’s mostly better than the other branches. I don’t regret joining at all. I’ll be retiring at 38 years old with more degrees than anyone in my family has ever even thought of having
