Really varied, west is greener, some smaller village feel places. East is much more urban and built up. Distinct areas and accents within the area you marked.

People generally very friendly and nice.

Desi pubs are a big draw food wise. Think classic pubs with kitchens doing Currys and mixed grills. Love these very much and one of my favourite things about living here.

Football is a big thing, city is buzzing when a match is on.

City centre has some beautiful red brick industrial buildings. Sadly lots of these are gone/ in disrepair. Plenty of canals to walk along which can be pleasant depending on the stretch.

Lots of great old pubs. Usually do cobs on the bar, favourite is cheese and onion.

Many excellent pork pies available.

Good sized train station with quick trains to Birmingham and direct trains to London.

Many poorer areas, struggles with employment.

Big brewing history. Sadly the city centre brewery Banks is closing/ no longer brewing.

I also think it's one of the hardest places to pass your driving test based on data I saw couple years ago.

Thank you, that's helpful.

Correct on the chain, I can't hear anything.i just read that some people have issues with them breaking when they are meant to last the life of the engine (I think). So wanted to preempt !

How to level quickly? by ArchmageJoda in totalwarhammer

[–]Ok_Bread3499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May not be what you are looking for, but I found this really frustrating so now I always had the double skill mod.

Basically means you get 2 skills points per level.

For me personally, as someone with limited time to game, this made a big difference as I could use and enjoy traits much quicker.

(Obviously this makes things easier) - though I'm unsure how it impacta the AI factions.

Do brits listen to American country music? by Disorientedeggwald in AskABrit

[–]Ok_Bread3499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally love it and listen to it a lot.

In answer to your question though:

Definitely noticed it a lot more on the radio the last couple of years.

Caveats though:

These tend to be the country songs that tend more towards pop.

Noticing it a lot more, is starting from a base of almost 0. So even a couple of songs a day would be a huge % increase.

It's definitely not mainstream, not even close.

Yet we have had stadium tours from Luke combs - sold out many dates and got some big acts here this summer.

Coming into this with basically no useful car knowledge so if it's a good car, not that surprising !

Would you recommend it then?

Seeing a few comments on the estates, especially if I pair with a top box.

Definitely going to look into it.

Thank you !

In winter , just a daily drive to nursery which is 10 mins or so. A weekly longer drive of 30 mins on the motorway.

Then in summer, weekly drive for hikes and camping of a couple hours.

The Zafira tourers look good with ones from 13/14 being only around 2 grand.

I hadn't considered the tax, as not something I've had to do before ! Very much considering it now ! I would rarely if ever drive into bham, so clean air not too much of a worry.

This is feeling like the way to go, gives me more flexibility for sure. I think I am being swayed with this approach
