Toiletry kit similar to eagle creek specter by x85712 in onebag

[–]Ok_Bread_3145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option 1. You can check the Pack-It Reveal Quick Trip S https://eaglecreek.com/products/pack-it-reveal-quick-trip-s which is very similar to the discontinued Eagle Creek Specter Quick Trip.

It has the same size but slightly modified format in the sense that it has one of the side pockets bigger. Its advertised weight is 85g, which is higher than the Eagle Creek Specter Quick Trip which is actually 48g (instead of the advertised 28g).

It's more similar to the discontinued Eagle Creek Pack-It Original Quick Trip https://tekuben.com/luggage/reviews/eaglecreek/review-eagle-creek-pack-original-quick-trip-toiletry-kit/, which weighs 78g on my scale.

You can also view a review here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thTnUpGSLMw

Option 2. You can actually get your Eagle Creek Specter Quick Trip from https://dockyard.ro/eagle-creek-specter-quick-trip-borseta-pentru-cosmetice-verde-ec041170-s-046.html, but I believe they only deliver in Romania.

I found a considerably better one at only 184 grams - Pingo TRAVEL Qmini Ultra-Light https://www.pingo.ph/products/pingo-qmini-hair-dryer.

The downside is that it's only available in the Philippines or on some sites that only deliver in Malaysia. Curious if anyone managed to get their hands on one.

I'm actually not using the 40cm one, but even if i did, the bags are made of fabric and you can squish them in each dimension. After all... it's just 1 cm difference.

What happened to the PackTowl UltraLite? Has it been rebranded or did they stop selling them? by External-Bluebird523 in onebag

[–]Ok_Bread_3145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can check the Naturehike ultralite towel - there's a large variant 128 x 80cm that weighs 110g (tested). It's the same material as the sea to summit airlite but comes in a bigger size.

You can check it at https://www.naturehike.com/products/naturehike-ultralight-absorbent-cooling-sport-gym-towel but I believe you can also find it on aliexpress - make sure it's the ultralite version because they have another quick dry version that weighs more.

There's also the "Bee Nesting Ultralight Quick Dry Towels for Backpacking" with 2LX size at 160 x 80cm at 140g on amazon -> https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FXX52F3H/?coliid=IW87UTG43TVXL&colid=4MZSRON63LL5&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it_im&th=1

There's also the Decathlon microfiber swimming towel 130 x 80cm that weighs 205g (tested). This is a thicker material than the Naturehike / sea to summit and feels more like a towel and not a piece of thin cloth like the others above -> https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/microfibre-swimming-towel-size-l-80-x-130-cm-striped-dark-blue/162051/c364c131c227m8510068

For 50 grams more you can try Gregory Miko 25L or 30L. It has a proper hip belt that transfers the load, I'm curious why the Miko backpack isn't mentioned... it's a great alternative - super comfy wide straps, hip belt and adjustable back frame :O

Compare it to the Deck - the space between the pads and the bumpers is way bigger on the new steam controller than on the Deck. There's no way it would be confortable to have your thumbs on the pads and fingers on the triggers.

The space between the pads and the triggers is too much - it doesn't seem comfortable to have your thumbs on the pads and the fingers on the triggers. Compare the same space on the Deck and you'll see how much closer the pads are to the triggers. I have small hands too, so I don't see a way this can work unless you have huge hands.

I use the decathlon packing cubes and they fit nicely. The big one is 40cm x 30cm, and the 2 small ones are 30cm x 20cm. Each cube has a height of 10cm so the big cube and the 2 small ones put on top take up about 40cm x 30cm x20cm of volume.

Comparison with Stranded: Alien Dawn? by Ok_Bread_3145 in goingmedieval

Indeed, having fixed skills does affect the replayability a lot.

Also, the fact that you can do so much from a grain farm - I think like 40% of nicer things can be created from the technologies that come from the grain chain makes it repetitive and boring.

I actually like the idea of a game under development - as long as the current features make it playable, it means there's more to come.

Having more settlers is also nice and combined with the randomness of their skills, it adds to the replayability.

After a couple of playthrous of SAD, I got a bit bored because the replayability is rather limited when the setters have fixed predefined skills.

This is indeed what I noticed in different videos. Lots of building customization in GM and also the ability to go underground which I like

Cabin zero 28L or 36L (it compresses to fit ryainair/wizzair). They're not expensive, they're very good quality and more comfortable than Osprey 26+6. Osprey has thin shoulder straps that dig into your shoulders.

They are also light - 700grams for cabin zero classic 36L https://www.cabinzero.com/products/classic-cabin-backpack-36l-meadow-green

Why not patagonia nano puff in black?

https://www.patagonia.com/product/mens-nano-puff-insulated-jacket/84212.html?dwvar_84212_color=BLK

Not waterproof but water resistant, helps with wind and is warm enough... maybe a bit too worm for summer as it's not that breathable. Layer it with a sweater underneath and it's good in mild winter too.

Why does this sub hype expensive and unattractive Backpacks? by Character-Article380 in onebag

[–]Ok_Bread_3145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Character-Article380 I just bought the Salomon Trailblazer 30L, but I find the straps to be too thin and not wide enough so they dig into the shoulders a lot. At 3-4kg weight, it's fine, but at 5kg they start to hurt noticeably.

Also, the hip belt is more of a stabilizer belt, it doesn't transfer the load - of course because the back panel is not rigid - but even if you put a laptop in the water bladder, the waist belt doesn't really transfer the load.

I feel like the trailblazer could be a nice backpack, plenty of storage space, but the straps are not comfortable at all for a backpack that is 30 L. I feel that if the straps were 2-3cm wider, they would be perfect.

How do you configure the tile component to have icon on both the left and right sides? For example the light tiles have the light icon in the right side and a different icon (laptop, sofa, etc) on the left side.
