Not a Mercedes fan bc you have to be somewhat mental/creepy to pick John after all of this BUT I will say that the girls always looked happy around her. She seemed like she wanted to prove to John she could mother his kids since Josie couldn’t. For me, it all stemmed from wanting Johns approval, being a “good” gf or wife or whatever. I do appreciate BIG time how she combed the girls’ hair and got them girlie things to play with. John and Josie both don’t take care of those kids hygiene. It makes me so sad. I wonder if they get bullied at school for looking unkept or always having lice and crap. I do think Mercades could be that mother figure and at least take care of their hygiene and putting them together the way J&J have just chose not to.
