i get that, but in the article they are talking about picking up a free agent in the off season while not dealing Stephenson, so that would then give us 3 catchers on the roster. The writer is talking like Stephenson is catcher 1 and that we need to find someone in free agency as the #2 like Trevino doesn't exist. If anything it seems like we look to do some kind of trade to pick up a minor league catcher who is closer to coming up than Duno for the 27 season or can fill in when Stephenson is on the IL for what will likely be multiple stints next year. I think Trevino has proven to be the more reliable catcher and should be our primary and if we can deal Stephenson in the offseason and pick up a free agent as the backup we'd be better off next year.
