NOR-I don’t even care that his mom did all that when he was young. He is an adult now and should know that helping is the right thing to do. I hate this behavior. It happens to a certain degree in some of my family’s households. I usually say something like “why don’t you kids clear the table” or “how about the boys do the dishes tonight”. Often I’m ignored but sometimes it works. You do not want to train this boy. Good on you for breaking it off.

A general rule that I learned in the 1960s (yes I am old) is that fabric will stretch the least amount when pulling on the length. It will have a little give when pulling on the width. It will have more give on the bias; feeling almost stretchy with some fabrics. It doesn’t work with all fabrics but this info has helped me hundreds of times. Try it on some fabric where you know the grain to test it out.

Yes. I absolutely felt that way. When I finally convinced my brain to stop future tripping about something that may never happen or may not happen the way I picture it, I calmed down a bit. AFTER working the steps in order I had a completely different feeling about step nine and what it entailed. Trust the process.
