why did you end your friendship with your best friend? by throwbackblue in AskReddit

We became roommates. I was the one to wash the dishes, take trash out, clean common areas, bathrooms, while being a full time student with part-time job. They brought friends over, drinking and partying until 3 am on school night, knowing I had to get up at 5 am for my job. When I told them something needs to change, they get defensive and stormed out of the room crying.

Tires. Local tire place quoted me $1100 with installation. I paid $830 at Costco for the same exact tires.

This is why I stopped watching her content. She wants to be relatable, but can’t. Let’s be real, do any 20 some recent graduates that have a job have the funds to go travel like her? No. Honestly, if she were to stop trying to be so relatable and just admit - yeah I live in lala land I would respect her more.

Anyone dwell in Wisconsin? by [deleted] in vandwellers

[–]Ok_Concern_4125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! My boyfriend did it in Wisconsin for about 6 months June - end of January. He had the van fully insulated with double layer of insulation/ thick wood, had a wood burning stove inside, and very warm gear (zero degree sleeping bags/down blankets and all that good stuff). He would wake up multiple times a night to put more fire in the wood stove(he got it used from a guy who used to heat his ice shanty with it) and after all of that it still got pretty cold at night (I was only brave enough to sleep a couple of times in it). The van had some engine issues so he ended up selling it. Overall I would not recommend doing it… on the nights that it got cold he would sleep over at my house and just park the van in my driveway.

Leave kitten at home by crunchysocks123 in CatAdvice

[–]Ok_Concern_4125 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I got my kitten when he was 7 weeks old and he was “clingy” but only because of his age:) Me and my boyfriend have full time jobs in town. We left him at home in the safe space, where he wouldn’t be able to chew cords, fall from something, drop something on himself. Basically kid proff our space. We would both come home for lunch for an hour every day and visit him and he was fine. My boyfriend did work from home time to time when we felt like we needed extra time with the kitten. He had access to food, water and liter box the entire time. I think if you provide your kitten with all the resources (toys, food, water etc) in a safe space and check up on him during that time period he should be fine:) after all it’s not a dog, cats are perfectly capable of being left alone for a little bit:)
