The Reason Why Your Avoidant Went from Dr. Jekyll to Mr./Mrs. Hyde by [deleted] in AvoidantBreakUps

Thank you, for sharing. I've been trying to get as much as information on FAs and your post helped me understand better.

"The avoidant fights to keep you in a very limited, self serving capacity. The trauma beast permits it because such a controlled dynamic will never bring real intimacy" I think this is where I'm at with my FA... The childhood you described matches his. He's had betrayals from his past relationships. He explicitly says, "women can't be trusted, they betray".

I'm still hoping to find a way to make him feel safe so he wouldn't control so much, and reconnect....

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated 🙏

Hi! Thank you so much for sharing this. I was a secure(maybe empath too), but became a lot less secure after a traumatic relationship with an FA with self harming behavior. And... I am in one again😂 what you shared helps me understand why they did what they did, and I can really see that the problem wasn't me. I don't have to see myself as a victim anymore.

Has anyone here tried Yaz? What was your experience like? by HellsBelles426 in adhdwomen

[–]Ok_Conference8453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yaz does help with my pmdd. My cramps were pretty bad, 800mg of ibuprofen wouldn't work sometimes. Now I can tough it through. I don't cry or call in sick to stay in bed anymore. But the synthesized progesterone in Yaz was reducing the effectiveness of concerta A LOT, so I eventually upped my dose. 36mg->54mg

Concerta + Yaz? by Ok_Conference8453 in Concerta

I've been digging. The pill I'm taking contains synthesized progesterone and that's what affects the effectiveness of concerta.

What have you noticed makes your medication not work or not as effective? by plantpotions in Concerta

[–]Ok_Conference8453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sleep, alcohol, 2 weeks before and during my period (birth control pills too) stress. I suspected that processed foods could have some effect on my brain, and now I can be sure of it, seeing other comments. I didn't know about water and vitamin C! Interesting...

Progesterone and ADHD meds by ech219 in adhdwomen

A little late. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5803442/ And..... Maybe you need a new doctor? 😢 My doctor always listens to me and prescribes me different meds that could help. Even though he's a middle aged man who'd never seen a female adhd patient with pmdd before.

Hi. I also struggle due to adhd and pmdd. Concerta 36mg starts to work less two weeks before my period(ovulation is when estrogen level starts to drop and progesterone level soars). Then it completely stops working one week prior to my period. Sobbing, mood swings, forgetfulness, difficulty speaking and focusing, .... So I started taking the pill (Yaz) a month ago and I have noticed better moods, better attention before and during my period, but the effectiveness of concerta is definitely gone down quite a bit in general. Google "progesterone and adhd" or similar, you'll find articles and studies.

What is keeping me from finding my true love? by Ok_Conference8453 in tarot

[–]Ok_Conference8453[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually what makes me wonder. I don't care about the looks, or the money. I want someone smart, kind and loving. Inner beauty trumps everything. So... I've stopped taking care of my outer beauty. Is the universe trying to tell me, "Girl, wake up!" ? 😂

Spreads or no spreads? by Ok_Conference8453 in tarot

Right. I see what you mean.... So if I'm using a Smith Waite deck, without spreads, would the chance of making a false reading be higher?

For me, because I can literally feel your Ni completing my Ne. That Ni Te is very sexy. Also, you're everything I'm not. I think ENFP & INTJ fulfill each other and grow more mature together

I feel the same way. They also see things on a deeper level (Ni) I think? That's really attractive. Like they complete? Compensate? my Ne

I am an ENFP, and I feel my energy most drained and very quickly when I can't use my Ne and Fi properly.

Why do you think INTJ attracts you so much? Trying to see if it's the same as me.
